Was the original pinion shim thickness correct for the new one?
How much did the L and R carrier shim packs change?
Did you use a case spreader?

I have been hearing the gear changes in these axle housings go smoothly especially with Dana gear sets but I haven't done any yet.

No case spreader used. Dana Spicer bearing kit used. Used stock side to side shims. used the suggested pinion depth shim from revolution gear, which is what the gear set was. went in super easy first try both axles.

Yeah but I got all my EXP in the wrong tech tree, rebuilding LAV diffs didn't translate very well when I regeared and added lockers to mine 🥲
