People confused why I removed Mojave hood stickers and badges from my Jeep

I feel like the Rubicon and Mojave hoods look odd without the decals. My wife's jeep isn't a rubicon, but because of the edition it is, it has a Rubicon hood (stock). It looks weird to me because it doesn't have the letters. Not bad weird, it's just when you're used to looking at it, you expect something to be there.

I recieved some "questions" today in a parking lot about why on earth i would remove the Mojave hood stickers and badges from my jeep. They were generally baffled at why i would do such a thing. This is my first jeep and i have removed badges and stickers from every vehicle I've owned. Is this something i can epect to encounter going forward? HAHAHAHA

It's a legitimate question. I understand the desire to remove anything the dealer may have added. If it came that way from the factory, I usually just leave it. Some people buy to get those factory emblems, and can't comprehend why you would want to remove them. For others, it is a way to 'advertise' that they bought an expensive truck. Maybe they think you are trying to hide how much you spent.

I also debadge my vehicles. Did my JT and my JLU the day we got home with them. I despise the little emblems dealers use so while I'm at it I just take off everything. The only things I left were the raised letter "Jeep" on the tailgate and sides.

I will add though, that I run full size graphics so no one would see them anyway.

I've debadged pretty much all of my cars. Even during the height of The Fast and The Furious when people couldn't add enough stickers, spoilers, lights, and body kits, my friends and I were taking stuff OFF... de-badging at the least, but even deleting stuff, shaving off and cleaning body parts.
I love a clean and simple look.

Ironically, I don't plan on doing that with my Mojave. Someone else said it... i think it kind of looks weird seeing a Mojave without the branding.

That said, I also don't plan on adding anything else... no re-badging "Gladiator" on the tailgate, no additional hood decals, no silhouette stickers on the windshield to compliment the Jeep easter-egg, no family stick figures. (I would also never re-do the Mojave sticker with another word or phrase.)

Ultimately, you do you... its your ride. Do what makes you happy.

To each their own, I'm not a fan of the no sticker look as it looks like a sport trying hard to be what its not, but at least it doesnt have an angry grill.

I wonder if somewhere out there, there are a group of dedicated "Jeep Gladiator's with Angry Grills" enthusiasts, writing on their bizarro forums about how stupid the expressionless, apathetic grills look. LOL...

I must be honest. I had an anniversary edition power wagon that I loved. We bought the wife a 2022 grand Cherokee summit and when I was leaving I saw the gladiator and said bye bye power wagon.

I was being sarcastic. I appreciate the clean look of a debadged vehicle. Enjoy it!

I don’t mind the hood decal but do not care for the red outline Rubicon badging. My plan was to give it a couple months to grow on me then take them off if I felt the same. Two months later my wife asked why I was going into the garage with her hair dryer. She listened patiently, even nodded in agreement a time or two, then told me she liked the red outlines. Six months later, they are still there and will most likely stay.

"Live and let live" is a really hard thing for most people to abide by, especially in enthusiast communities like this.

I passionately hate angry grilles, but I passionately believe you should be able to put one on your Jeep with your own money if you want to, and without having to justify your choice to everyone else.

What are you going to do with your "Badge of Honor" Plate stickers from FCA when you complete those trails ? Maybe it would be cool to debadge everything except for the "Badge of Honor" .

Looks good with no decals.
Mine is boring gray, so the red adds something to it.
The red on the inside, I could do without.
Funny, I hate bumper stickers but put on the badges. Also, earned each one with the family and they like them.
