Hi all,
I am reaching out to see if anyone had trouble getting the car registered in NY.
I purchased the JT from Gupton in July and got the car financed through Fortera.
Just came back from NY DMV and they are telling me that they need a certification of Lien with Lien #?
I'm like what? the vehicle certificate has the lien holder's name but now NY DMV is telling me that I require a lien #?
I called the Gupton to see if they know anything but they have never heard of this before.
NY DMV is telling me to ask the lender to file MV-900 form, and then I can register the car. The lender Fortera is also confused as hell, but they were generous to file that form.
Does anyone know what the hell is going on? Am I doing it correctly?

I have successfully registered my JT in NY.
Thanks to user dcmdon, I reached out to Renee and she sent me a signed MV-900 right away.
For those who are looking to register the car in NY requirements are:
Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MCO or COO)
Insurance FS-20, FS-21, FS-75 (Might need to get it inspected in NY without registration to keep the insurance live)
Notice of Lien (need original, and lien needs to mail another to DMV)
Transaction receipt or sales receipt (to calculate sales tax 8.875%)
Tax form (DTF-803 if tax is exempt, otherwise DTF-802, if you owe tax)
Driver License
