Safelite is charging for the calibration on replacement which these don't require because the system isnt on the glass like other systems.
Very likely the exact reason...

Frankly speaking I think it sux how Jeep is charging premium for electronics when Japanese and Korean just come with nice staff. I fail to see how these components could be so expensive when I can get a 55" TV for a quarter of what they want for 8' screen.
100% agee.... try adding 695.00 forward camera to a build and you have buy 1500.00 LED lights to get it...

Sad part is someone will defend the overpriced parts (most likely a UAW worker)

Prices are insane. If it wasn’t for Gupton I think I would have been out….especially after the AT4X came out, but I ordered July 14th.

No shit, after my buyback, if I wasn't getting employee pricing I wouldn't even consider buying another gladiator and just upgrade the wife's 21 JLURD

There are two types of adaptive cruise for the jeep, adaptive with stop & enhanced adaptive... one is for the auto trans, the enhanced is for the manual.... the enhanced is only good till about 15 mph because it can't actually stop you
It does the same in my Accord Sport, it just did not cost me a penny extra, I naturally would not expect it to bring me to a complete stop :). I use it outside of major traffic and it is great, especially if I do not want to meet a local law enforcement officer. At the end of the day even in the manual it is a great feature but for $3K I can do a little foot work. Even in the automatic, here in NY, you would not use it for traffic as it keeps too much of the distance and every guy on Honda civic will try to cut you off every chance they get. Once again I am totally grateful for the 'resume' button on the regular cruse control in the GT

Well the dealer pinged me yesterday......my Mojave is in D1 status with a tentative ship date of 10 October. Shipping wise shouldn't be to bad OH to VA.

I'd love to have it in time for Halloween

I didn't order the safety pkg, adaptive cruise or cold weather group and it's a soft top........I think that's contributing to a quick/early build. Mine will get held up for a day or two in production because I did order it with the factory spray in bed liner.

There's a YT'er that works for a Jeep dealer in PA and he said Jeep has been prioritizing customer ordered Jeeps. The thought up at the corporate level is those orders are guaranteed sales and won't sit on a lot. So hopefully that holds true.

Went to order my JTRD today, just on a weird feeling I asked if adaptive cruise was in the advanced safety group. It normally is, and the price is the same as normal, but when the deal looked at details, ADAPTIVE CRUISE is no longer there meaning NOT AVAILABLE.....

Killed my deal ....

Interesting, but my experience was different. I started the order process for a 23 JTRD in early August going through the order sheet with my salesman. He contacted me a few days later saying they were not able to place the order with the Advanced Safety Group yet and would continue to try. After a couple more can't order yet updates, I got confirmation that my order was accepted on 9/2. I will be verifying the options and contents of said options when my VIN is available and when it is delivered.

My guess is there was a shortage or backlog on a part of the the system and they temporarily stopped taking orders for the option.

Please let us (mostly me) know when you have info.... I'm not ordering without it, one extra layer of security never hurt anyone (contrary to the super driver comments) ....

That's like putting a condom over a rubber.

I had a 2006 Infiniti FX45 that has ACC. Tried it once, but didn't like it. To me, It felt wierd and empty from driving without my foot on the pedals. I think it's because i don't like doing the speed limits and too much steering corrections is required below 70mph ?
