So I've got 39,xxx miles on my '21 Gladiator Overland. Light towing only a couple times but rear pads are starting to make some noise so I thought I'd change them today. Went to all the usual suspects and no one had them in stock but can get them a week or more. Called the nearest dealer, none in stock, Oct 3 availability. Did find one dealer about 40 minutes away with one set in stock. I'm keenly aware of supply chain issues but wondering if there is something else behind limited availability? Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Not sure if this is the right sub-forum so move if better elsewhere.

My local Oreilly's can get them in a couple days. Autozone about a week. Oddly, Napa isn't listing a rear brake pad at all. Tons of options seem to be in stock on Rock Auto though.

Good to hear, thanks for the feedback about local availability. I don't know why but ordering brakes online to me feels inefficient. The thought of having to wait a day or more to get pads for a pretty ubiquitous vehicle really pisses me of. Nut here we are :) I'm waiting for the mailman to deliver brake pads... SMH

My last 4 brake jobs I ordered online. They were much cheaper than sourcing local and on 2 occasions the warehouse was local and I received everything the next day.
