Well, luckily you can bury it. My first experience with this method was a disaster. I put our waste bags (the kind that have gel and double seal) in my trasharoo to take somewhere for disposal. Guess what? The bags ripped open and leaked. I ended up throwing away the whole trasharoo and getting a new one. I’m still thinking about what to do next time. ?

Had a memory foam in our motorhome. Got rid of it for a sleep number for the same reason. When they're cold, it's like sleeping on concrete. And they take forever to thaw out. Had more blankets under us than on top.

Man, it looks like I screwed up buying a memory foam mattress! Now I'm wondering if I can warm it up before going to bed, so it doesn't turn to concrete.

Put a heating blanket under it?

Sounds like a good solution to me! Has anyone tried this? I'll have to figure out the wattage to see if my battery can handle the load, for a night. I won't need the fridge running on cold nights, so it might work.

Looks like the specs are listed at <4.5A current, but someone measured it to actually be around 3.5A using a meter. Seems like most any larger power station could run it pretty easy. I'd probably try to find one with a temp settings switch so it's easier to adjust when it gets too warm.

Your experience could be different then mine. We did some cold weather camping with the motorhome. Have 2 boys living in Colorado. We would sometimes spend Christmas with them out there.

love my set up for overlanding, except not happy with the 3” RE lift. Not Rubicon Express’s fault. Too much weight towing and hauling this summer proved rear shocks get overworked and springs are too light duty for an overlander. Going to 3.5” Clayton overland lift Monday. Also adding Arcus bumper and 10,000 lbs winch.

Always loved the size, low profile hard shell, ability to leave bed made with pillows, ladder also fits under the mattress, ease of the open and close a hard shell offers (under 1 min. Open and 2 min close) and the straight room up vs the triangle open style most hard shells offer, open 360* view. Lots of room in this tent (The EVO XXL). My girlfriend appreciates the cassette potty in the RTT as well ?.

I am moving it forward on the bed rack to match rear closed tailgate. Unlike most on here, I do wish the bed was 24”es longer.

So do you have memory foam mattresses, and do you like them?

In the motorhome. The wifey liked it. I'm 6'2", was 230lbs at that time. It felt like I sank in it. Didn't support like I thought it should. We got the sleep number mattress. Wifey had her side set on 35, I had my side set on 65. I was comfortable.

In the house, we had a Tempur-Pedic for a while. We went out shopping for a new mattress. Hit about a half dozen stores. Jumping on/laying on/rolling on different mattresses. We tried the Tempur-Pedic's and liked them in the store. This was in Feb. So we bought one. They delivered it a few days later. One of the guys said that they loaded the truck the day before and the mattress is stiff from being in the cold over night. It took 3 of us to get the mattress in the house. It was heavy. We couldn't sleep on that mattress for 2 days until it warmed up. I hated that mattress. Felt like it never soften up. We gave it away 3 years later.
