Agreed. Jeep is grabbing at any crumb for CAFE and MPG gains as it is. Taking FAD away would be big hit relatively speaking in that regard.

With that being said, is there an aftermarket one-piece right-side axle shaft along with manual locking hubs? Manual hubs are offered for the JK. That's still the best set up.

I wish that Jeep and Ram would go back to a proper set of manual locking hubs rather than the silly FAD.

RCV makes a 1 piece shaft for the right side. No one yet makes a manual hub for the JL/JT yet that I know of.

I installed RCV axles and DynaTrac freespin hubs on my Power Wagon. Picked up about 1 mpg with it.
