The driver can’t drive. He ran off the road again while he was following the morvair out of there. Scary.
I worry that he was concussed, as he ran off the road again at the end of the video.

I baby my gladiator and it breaks down on me. That guy rolls his into a ditch and they just flip er over, fire it up, and drive it back down the trail. I'm so confused.
Interestingly enough…I noticed a correlation between my (early on) CEL + engine sputtering and babying the engine. Once I started getting on it a bit, the CEL’s stopped. Could be completely unrelated, but I’ll take it, lol.

To all worried about the oil: shoot, that stuff is like water just give it 20 seconds and it will have drained down!
Not necessarily true. If oil leaks past the rings or pools in the intake it can hydro lock the engine. This in turn can bend a rod or worse. Best habit when firing a motor up after a prolonged time on the roof is to pull the plugs and turn over. Stand back as it’s a mess. This of course is a royal PIA for the 3.6.

Back in my XJ days this was a monthly occurrence for my buggy. But I often would bother unless it didn’t turn over as it was a strictly trail rig.

Is it a pain because the one near the firewall? Can you give a little more detail why it is a PIA.

Half the plugs require part of the intake manifold to be removed.
Yeah, it is a lot of plugs hoses etc. until you get manifold off to get to the right side. Would not love doing it on the trail, also with a dirty engine bay, but it is doable

Note to self, don't roll the damn thing

Was more a joke about how thin the oil is these days. It was hard to tell in the edit how long they had it upright before starting it.

This was very impressive for a recovery. Glad the doggo and the owner were both okay, even if he was being clumsy.

Retired and loving it
Watched it today. Very impressive recovery and I was super impressed by the fact that the truck drove out of there under its own power with basically just cosmetic damage.

The other thing I got out of it was that there was something definitely off about that driver. He shouldn’t have been out there.

Still figuring that out, but IT for now!
So much to say, but I'll leave it at the driver is lucky and needs to stop while he can.

I agree with everything said. Watched it last night. It’s a testament to the vehicle that it drove out, but enough body damage was done to cost way over 10k. Just guessing though. The driver did seem off. He didn’t seem upset enough for the situation.
