I went 5.13s. I've yet to see anyone who went 5.13 wish they had 4.88s but have found it the other way around where people with 4.88s wish they had gone 1 more step.

I absolutely love my 5.13s, I halved my 0-30 time, and finally have the torque to make every day driving and off roading with giant tires very palatable.

Mpg will be minimally affected either way as the engine is still putting out more or less the same amount of force for a specific speed. It could be slightly lower to slightly higher but you wont see a huge difference either way.

And the 3.6 loves to rev.

I've noticed virtually zero change in MPG between 2k and 3k. I notice my MPG seems to be more affected by overall MPH. Anything over 65mph and it plummets.

I'm currently running a 6mt JTR on 35s with 4.10s. I had full intentions of throwing 4.88s in, but after running on the highway the other day, I've come to the realization that I will virtually never exceed 80mph. With 5.13s, I can run up to 83mph before crossing the 3,000rpm threshold. That's good enough for me and should give me gobs of torque everywhere else. Couple this with a CF dual friction clutch and I'll be in business.

For my street driven daily driver Sport S 4.88s are perfect.
