With 27+K miles & 18months I finally had an episode with the truck.
About 1.5 mile from the house this morning I noticed my steering was dead like if the engine died. Looking at the tach and speedo both at 0, but engine is still running. Then the entire gauge cluster is going crazy, the wipers start & the vent Blower goes full on. I pull over and tried killing the engine, that took several attempts before it worked. Tried 2X before engine would crank, it started but was locked in P. Shut off again no trouble and starts fine, I also saw something about Collision Avoidance service and shifter service. But now I've got power steering, so I go 200' and it all starts acting up again, I was able to mussel it back home without power steering backed it in drive and jumped in my backup car.
Came home 3hr later and everything is normal except it still had Check engine light.
Called dealer and they sent a rollback; I start engine to pull up behind rollback and
ALL IS PERFECT, no lights or warnings. The rollback driver said he had a similar case a week ago with another diesel Gladiator.
We'll see how the dealer handles it.
