My Unconnect app has not worked for ages even though it shows a connection in Bluetooth with my iPhone when I drive my car. In that I'm tired of messing with it, I deleted the app from my iPhone and my Gladiator's horn immediately started the emergency beeping. I still see that when my screen comes on, it asks for you to click the accept button on the APP. Is there a way of totally ridding the Jeep of this shit app? I don't see it as an app when I bring up the app menu of the Jeep.

I use Android, not Apple. The Uconnect App on my phone does not make a Bluetooth connection to anything. The App is only for accessing the remote functions (start, unlock). The phone is paired to the head unit and makes a Bluetooth connection for phone functions.

The Accept button on the Uconnect screen at startup is FCA's liability waiver. It has nothing to do with the paired phone or any of the Apps.

Those functions work but it never records mileage or anything else and has been that way for about 2 month. Thanks for the info.

Some of that is dependent on the cellular coverage in the area. I have very good AT&T coverage here, so the updates from the head unit that are reported in the App usually happen with no issues. The updates go over the cellular connection to the FCA/SiriusXM servers, and then are updated in the App using the phones internet connection.

I do have great coverage here, but again it has not updated in months. I spoke to customer service some weeks ago, but they were zero help.

You could try a full system reboot and see if it helps any. Disconnect both batteries for about ten minutes. It can take the head unit up to 24 hours to return to normal operation after a reboot.

Thanks, but is just not worth the hassle. I was more curious if anyone knew why the horn would suddenly sound just because I deleted the app on my phone.

I would have to say pure coincidence. There should be no direct link between the phone App and the truck. It is possible, however, that the App sent a remote request to the truck to honk the horn when it was being deleted.

Oh well, that would just go along with the way the app has behaved - I guess, I will just forget about it.

I'm with you!
worst part was the head unit kept asking me to pay or cancel but doesn't give you enough time to select cancel or bluetooth call. Really dumb and it took Sirius 2 months to call me to offer a discount if i extended the use. I told them no and the message still popped up. MAKE IT GO AWAY!! 2$25 a month for remote start and oil change reminders? it does all of teh without the app ?

They are definitely not the easiest to deal with from my experience.
