I’ve easily put Weathertech floor liners in 25 cars over the years, all the way back to when they were just a company advertising in the back of Car & Driver. Have them in three cars right now. In my opinion they have started cheapening their product (not their price) over the last few years, the material seems thinner and consistently curl on the edges over time. I’m on my second set in my wife’s E63 because the first ones curled, they are already starting to do it again. I have the OEM Jeep all season mats in my JT and they are far superior, much higher quality and they keep their shape.

I have the OEM all weather mats in my JT and wife has them in her JL. Perfect fit. I've bought other brands in the past for other vehicles, i.e. husky liners, weathertech. I liked the husky liners over the weathertech and were a bit cheaper but OEM is better than both in this case. I'll probably look at armorlite down the road.

You guys are crazy to not consider TuxMat. The coverage is huge compared to Weathertech. They go all the way up the center tunnel and tuck under the center console trim.

I've been buying WeatherTech for 20 years and they don't even come close.

Installed tuxmax a week and a half ago. very nice. A lot of protection and not slippery when wet. Havent had snow and salt yet, just leaves and pine needles, but the snow is coming

I personally plan on emptying them out once they are 1.5” deep with gravel and mud.. if you need all 6” of depth with those high sides.. cool lolz

high sides work. I have kids and they always skid across the plastic in the back and hit the cup holders. Even I can scuff my plastic door sill stuff at times and these cover that. Wt are great mats but I think tuxmat are a step up. My mother has jeeps mats and they are great as well.

I know it’s not an option but Armorlite. I cannot suggest it enough. It’s def a bit costly and can be somewhat of a pain to install (least it was for me who has no experiencing in any type of automobile modding)

but the final result is unbelievable. Less noise, more stable temps, easy to wash out/clean, super durable.

Definitely enjoy my armorlite flooring as well, took about 2hrs to install, hardest part was pulling the plastic retaining rings from the factory flooring. with the amount of stuff i do that dirty my shoes, it was definitely worth it to me.

That's a common theme. I've got to say, Having lived with Tuxmats through last winter, I'll never buy WeatherTech again as long as they have one that fits my vehicle.

Anyone with the Armorlite floor also have HotHeads sound assassin liners? The sound assassins go under the carpet and are pretty thin. Still I’m curious about fit. The carpet is probably more forgiving than the rubber/plastic of the Armorlite. Otherwise, I’m going to switch from the WTs to these.

Anyone have opinions on getting the weather tech versus factory all weather floor mats/protectors?
I have the WT’s. The GLadiator came with the All weather mats. The WT’s are way better. Higher sides all the way around.

I work for a Jeep dealer and I have the WT in my JT and had them in my JL. They have better coverage plus I got them in tan to match tan seats. My JT is a Willys and was suppose to come with Mopar weather mats, they got deleted at the time of build because they were backordered. My JL came with the Mopar weather mats, just didnt like them.

I picked up the OEM ones right away, but 2 things bothered me on them:

1. The logo and mats look great, but the mats are relatively flat (no elevated ridges), so if there is water in the mat, your pant leg is probably also sitting in it (I don't drive in the rain with the top off, so no need to pull any plugs and I get to preserve my original carpeting).

2. Since they are relatively flat, there is a small elevated portion where the mats snap into the prong on the floor. Since this was the only area where the mat is elevated, it felt like I was always stepping on a marble or something if I shifted my feet around on the mat.

I ended up going with the Rugged Ridge, which have elevated ridges to keep your pants out of any water in the tray, and the ridge is consistent across the mat. My 2 complaints with the OEM solved.
