just checking in here i been fighting with a slight wondering issue and a slight steering wheel shimmy at times so i took it back to the dealer and it turns out i had a bad tierod on my draglink. This was most likely bad from the factory since my truck just turned 4000 miles. Easy fix and was under warranty so it didnt cost me a dime. I must say it drives like a completely different truck now. It doesnt wonder and if you just touch the steering wheel the truck moves. DOTTA JEEP in penargyl , PA is the place to go.

I wander why the tierod on the draglink was bad from the factory.
It just seams unusable that their wood be bad parts making it threw to production.
I am just guessing someone was having a bad day at work. Not uncommon in todays world...

You need to search death wobble on the Tube and see it. It’s many times worse than a shimmy.

Trust me....you will know if you have death wobble and might live to tell us about it!

I've seen a rise in the number of people with a wobble or shimmy or tire issue saying they have "death wobble". Then once you get more info - sorry, not even close to real death wobble.

OK, I'm seeing tie rod and drag link tossed around as if the same thing............sounds like the drag link socket - at the pitman.

If I had a Nickle for every caller who said the internet diagnosed their condition as death wobble.....

I reported this a month or so ago here in the forum. I had no death wobble, but severe wandering and steering wheel play (like 4-6 inches from center before the truck moved). Loose connection to the Pittman arm and an alignment fixed the issue. Seems pretty common.

Hey people i am not hear to argue what death wobble is or is not . The bottom line is the jeep dealership called it death wobble i called it a bad steering wheel shimmy. I simply wanted to update the jeep crew what fixed the problem and it was under warranty. ✌
