Enjoy your new truck, the irony is you don’t even own the Gladiator anymore, yet your here on a Gladiator forum still trying to justify your decision to trade. Good luck.

Wishing you the best, and certainly thank you for your service to the nation.I’m just sharing my story. Ya’ll do what you want with the takeaways and lessons. Real or imagined. I didn’t share the information to start any arguments. The Gladiator has virtues and negatives. I can’t take the top off my F350 or hose it out.
This 97 mph limit is due to the tires on the Rubicon, it’s a limitation with the AT’s and MT’s. If you look at trims with highway tires the limit is increased.Things to say don’t always come to me all at once, especially at my age, so apologies for that, and here’s another thought.
The five-foot bed size was a deal-breaker on the Gladiator too. I’m 5’ 7” and my spouse is 5’ 4.” With the F350, I can put a Decked platform and a camper shell on the F350 and have a crude camper capable of being slept in quite nicely. Not so with the Gladiator.
Something I thought about while laying in the bed of the Gladiator in a sleeping bag with the tailgate down in the middle of the night somewhere in Kansas this summer.
Yeah, I can blow thousands for a pop-up tent for the Gladiator bed, but I’m not interested in climbing a ladder.
An added thought on what I said above regarding safety. To my understanding, the Gladiator is governed to 97 MPH. That says a lot about stability in places like Wyoming where the speed limit is 80 MPH and you’re doing 90 to pass folks.
Look, even with tinnitus, I can spot the variations of your ever-changing tune. You are not raining on any parade.
The NW is a huge area goes from a bad area (down by Lake Meade and Rainbow) where I would not live on either side of the 95. to what is now the real NW which is Centennial and Sky Canyon which is an awesome part of town.
If you are nearer to the Rainbow curve I feel sorry for you as you chose the wrong part of town which anyone can do in any city.
What I am saying is that they are not “everywhere“. Every single city has crime and gangs. I was a law enforcement officer. You have made a blanket statement which one could do to any city and is not really accurate.
Fixed!Dang cheap-azz turn signal...
ok, well I guess Vegas insurance rates suckIt’s all about your zip code.
In Florida, I had a ragtop 2019 Corvette and a 2019 VW Golf R4 or whatever the hell they called that racey little thing. $200 a month for all of it at my “somewhat” rural dwelling.
Here in Vegas, there’s gang bangers and car thieves all
Mo mass = mo better. Physics says the bigger vehicle that has more space to crumple before the passengers will be better. Thats why safety ratings are super misleading as i'd gladly take a 3 or 4 star truck over a 5 star smart car in an accident.I setup a Google alert to keep up with any news involving an F350. Seems they keep winning in traffic accidents. The drivers are often times walking away. The other parties are getting tearful farewells and hymns sung.
It is what it is, as they say.
Sounds like an issue with your specific Jeep…. Not an indicator that the general vehicle is a poor choice for the use.Is it ”laughable” when I would forget about the crack in the road between Lee’s Summit, MO and Independence and the front end would bottom out at 40 MPH like I hit a brick wall? And my spouse is sitting beside me going WTF?
Other diesel owners in this forum have mentioned the front end bottoming out.Sounds like an issue with your specific Jeep…. Not an indicator that the general vehicle is a poor choice for the use.
I have a brother and a close car friend in Vegas and agree, have never heard one peep from either of them that these are major problems.I have lived in Las Vegas for 20 years. There are not gangbangers and car thieves everywhere. Gee whiz. We live in a nice area of Vegas and have never had a problem. I work in downtown and still no problems. Parked a BMW M outside and no issues.
I have two cars (JEep and Toyota) and my insurance is only 1200 a year in Vegas. Who the heck insures your vehicle here? Seriously??? $6000 a year for two cars? Me thinks you exaggerate greatly. I had the Toyota and a BMW M insured up till buying the Gladiator this year and still together they were no more than 1400 a year. Full coverage, low deductible. USAA which I assume you can get since you said you were in the military???
I15 in utah is 80 mph and I had zero problems zipping on by other cars with my Sport S. Steering is tight as a drum.
Good luck with your 350. For what you want to do (tow and drive cross country a lot it is a good truck). Though I might have gotten a 2500 unless you are planning on a really big fifth wheel to tow in which case that is a good choice.
But I do agree with everyone. I am perplexed at why you bought it in the first place.
What’s Vegas got to do with this conversation?I have a brother and a close car friend in Vegas and agree, have never heard one peep from either of them that these are major problems.
You went on a rant of how terrible Vegas was. That's why it's in this conversation. What’s Vegas got to do with this conversation?
The worst roads in this country are where it snows.
Potholes and really bad roads are quite rare here where the palm trees are swaying sensually in the endless sunshine.
