@Benbean66 Did you get the programming of DRL worked out?
I did. Not quite sure what I was doing wrong, but I don't think was turning the Ignition on when starting the sequence. I got them all set up and played around with the show mode. Pretty cool, and they'd work good as hazard signals because of how bright the halo/DRL bars are.

Side note: I really like how wide the low/high beam pattern is, and the cut off is beautifully sharp. So far, I really love these lights. Thank you, @Diode Dynamics

@Benbean66 I’m really loving them too. Followed wife home after picking up Jeep from dealer in neighboring town and she said they definitely didn’t blind her through rear view. I’m probably going to aim them up a bit higher. Had to have auxiliary battery replaced 5 months after purchase. They told me to quit using ESS unless it was a drive over 45 minutes. I live 12 miles from work and they said it wasn’t long enough to recharge batteries using ESS. Are the other 2 adjusting screws for side to side adjustment?

@Diode Dynamics I did a review for you when emailed and it doesn’t show up on your website.
Thanks for the review, Ray!

We've been having issues with reviews not popping up on the website and working with our developers to get his feature active again.

It should be resolved soon and it'll appear live on the website!

Thank you :fist bump:

I know this probably wasn’t necessary, but, I like modifying things. I used a 2” pvc cap and drilled a hole 4-1/2” down from top of bottom portion of airbox centering it between the 2 vertical ribs. The biggest hole saw I had was too small so I finished the hole with a dremel. After inserting the cap, I was going to use silicone to seal it and hold it in place. I found a roll of weather seal laying around and decided to use it. Definitely no worries of pinched wires or them rubbing now. I had done something similar with headlight dust caps on a 12 Ram dually after putting in led lights that wouldn’t allow the dust caps to be installed. I tried a 1-1/4” cap and it was too small.

I wonder if you could of just heated the plastic wall of the air box with a torch for a bit and deform it inward a bit to give more space for the wiring...

Paul,
Thanks for the open statement. I appreciate it quite a bit, but i think there is a lesson here: empowering your employees to share as much information as possible will lead to less upset customers. You took time out of your day to rationally and reasonably explain the issues your company has gone through, and it has definitely addressed some of the fears I expressed about your product and your design and manufacturing process.

However, it took me almost a month to get this answer. I've spoken with CS, I've emailed CS, I've messaged back and forth on these forums, all trying to get a straight answer as to why the product I ordered hadn't shipped yet. I cited the back-to-back delays, and the fact that every time a delay was announced it was always at the very last possible minute. December 29th to inform me you weren't shipping in December. January 19th to inform me you weren't shipping 3 weeks later as stated. February 2nd to inform me you weren't shipping 2 weeks after that.

Any person at any point in time could have said "we got a bad batch from our supplier" and frankly my patience would have grown exponentially (i deal with contract manufacturing professionally, I'm aware how things can go). But each time i asked what was going on i was given "we're sorry the last guy person gave you the wrong date, here's some more wrong dates! And your comments will be 'passed on to management'." The honesty that you've showed today makes me more interested in being a customer, while the placation that I was provided previously had the opposite effect.

As for not adjusting your product page, that I understand.

As for what's left for me to do, well frankly I didn't have much choice. I know this part isn't your fault, but due to my xtreme recon fender flare extensions, dropping a fender liner is a more arduous task than the standard install. The idea of not being able to drive my truck at night was distasteful, and uninstalling the DDs to install the factory halogens again, to uninstall the halogens at some point in the future to reinstall the DDs when the problem got sorted was simply too much of a pain to be worthwhile. Which lead me to what was the only option I felt I had left to maintain a working truck: a jscan license, a security bypass cable, and an OBD dongle. Amazon is delivering the final two items any minute now. But the idea of spending the extra money isn't exactly thrilling to me.

If there's anything I hope you take away from this, it's that customers want honesty, not to feel like a can being kicked down the road. I've seen your honesty today, and I've greatly appreciated it, but as the owner you need to empower your customer facing employees to be able to provide the same.

A current and hopefully future customer,
Jim
Hi Jim,
We weren't ignoring your reply, but my team asked that I (Paul) reply directly. Thanks for your patience.

You are completely correct. We can do a much better job providing specific information to our service team, to include in update emails. Our production team is responsible for sourcing, planning, and production scheduling of thousands of different items, and this information and level of detail isn't always conveyed through from our buyers on components all the way through to the service team. But, I can see how it would definitely help to do so. We will make changes internally to provide more specific information in the future, based on your feedback.

I appreciate the thoughtful comments and responses. We've been in business for over 15 years now, growing all the while, mainly thanks to the improvements we make after feedback like yours. We still have a lot to learn as we keep growing, but my mantra is to avoid making the same mistake twice.

Thanks again,
Paul

We are pushing this through production as quickly as possible, but we did need to get the circuit boards produced and work instructions, test protocol, and general setup in our system. We do expect to begin shipments this week. Thank you for your patience!

Well, I got mine installed along with some new fog lights from DD. Went from Hologens to these, yes I did have to use my Tazer Mini, and yes the wiring is close to the airbox but seems like it won't be a problem, and removing the inner fenders for installation makes life much easier.

We tested them out this weekend on our Colorado trip, I can finally see on those dark canyon roads. They have a very crisp cutoff and spread light far to the sides, my wife and I were astonished to see the cutoff line and illumination on vehicles passing us going the same direction. On a long stretch of road heading towards Moab, with no one else around, we fired up the high beams, holly crap, we may have sent light signals to space (only kidding, a little). Then, while the high beams were on, we finally dared to turn on the fogs too, I cannot explain how much light this produced. The fogs were so bright we didn't dare leave them on while in the vicinity of other traffic.

Lastly, we love the look of these lights, kind of gives the Mojave a sinister look in the daylight.

I got mine in yesterday too.

I did the driver side from the top without much issue. Passenger side I ended up undoing the 3 bolts and a few clips on the fender liner and pulling it back to access from underneath.

Basically end up working blind but it was actually much easier than expected.

I ordered the non Max but I think they both come with the same wiring harness. I blindly followed the directions without really paying attention and hooked up the wire to the Aux switch but looking back that only needs done for the Max version. More so just a heads up for anyone installing the non max version.

Count me in as someone that thinks the wiring harness is to close to the airbox. My headlight wouldn't even go in properly until I loosened the airbox bolts and forcefully moved it over a bit.

Had mine sitting in the office for over a month. I had an upcoming trip I was going to take my Jeep on. I installed the DD E Max last night, minus the aux for the "max" portion. They powered on and looked great. Drove into work during the daylight then on my return trip home at night the left light went out, then the right. I flashed my brights on and it seemed to work ok, but caused my fog lights to turn off. Then I switched back to regular (non-bright) mode and all lights went off, flashed my brights again and the fog lights came back, but I could tell by the reflections of the cars ahead of me that my halos went off as well. Luckily my fog lights, also DD brand, were bright enough for me to see. I had to take a few back roads home just to not get some law involved in my drive. I got home and shut off the engine, then did the alarm feature and unlock. The lights did their little show and seemed fine, so I cranked the engine again, but the main lights didn't come on.

I have the diesel 80th Anniversary edition with Halogen stock lights. Am I supposed to get a Taser or something to fix this issue? Or is it something else? I really like these lights, but would hate to have to go back to halogen.

I also just installed the fog lights recently, as I had them for some time as well. I got the amber ones and they look great, not sure what it looks like as I approach vehicles on the road yet, but hopefully I didn't piss off too many drivers on the road last night.

You need the flicker harness :
