I had the originals, the taccom. But replaced with that second improved one. The screws sit flush and the inner side is lower so it does not interfere with the visor.

Yeah I'm going to give this a try, though I wish I saw it earlier. I tried the split rings but couldn't cut the plastic down enough to grip the metal. What a pain in the ass.

I just installed these in both visors last week.

At this point, I’m learning to not expect a damn thing from Jeep/FCA for service.

I mean, if I realized the damn truck design had the thing peeing on my leg every time it rains, I would’ve expected the dumb shit like rear glass seals that leak, front defrost that only defrosts half the windshield, batteries so weak they can’t even run ESS, OEM lift kits installed by the dealership that cause wheel rubbing AFTER install, bed rails that can be crushed by an unladen swallow, an original steering box made out of dry pasta, as well as sun visors that just pendulum-swing into your own dumb-fuck face as though the truck is literally playing the “stop hitting yourself” game for being such a chump of an FCA customer.

Or maybe I’m just “doing it wrong”, who knows? Glad I paid for that extra Mopar warranty—I’M A FREAKIN‘ CONSUMER GENIUS OVER HERE!

just saw this new version. But it's only for the driver side. haha... wtf. And it's currently 50% off. So $10 after the coupon for just the driver side. Who knows, maybe they'll make a passenger side. But from the photos, it looks like they made it more stable by adding that wedge along the side. I'll find out when it arrives.

I got one of these a few days ago, haven't got it installed yet. The seller sent me one in exchange for a review. It seems to be a decent kit. The instructions say to contact them if you want one for the passenger side.

cool. Not sure if it'll be the same seller since there's a few different ones on amazon. This one was the cheapest.
I'll have to send a message when mine arrives. Weird that they wouldn't just sell the passenger side like all the other kits.

Thanks

I'm guessing it's a production issue and they just don't have many available, or they think it is only a problem on the driver's side.

I'll have to email them and see what they say about it.

That's the one I received. When they initially listed it, the price was $29.99. The price has dropped quickly. There are at least two different listings from different sellers for what appears to be the exact same item.

I had a nissan murano with the same issue but there was no Cheap fix and required buying a whole new visor over $200 so I traded itin on a 2020 Rubi and just ordered the $10 50% off part. Having a defective visor is a real pain and thanks to all for the updates & info!

Its funny to me that this thread popped up because my drivers side visor fell out the other day. I just hammer fisted it back in place but will see if Jeep will fix it and will order the brackets mentioned above

I bought 3 different sets. One set was to thin and bent while trying to tighten the screws. Another set wouldn't fit around the posts, the last set was thick and somewhat worked, not are to thick. I just ordered this new one from Amazon and I will try that one. It sucks that there is only a drivers side one and no passenger side one yet...

The one I installed was made of a reasonably thick aluminum and had two in the set.

The instructions just have you face them in opposite directions for the drivers/passenger sides.

Installation took all of 5-minutes, and seems very solid.

I tried that new one off Amazon - Way better. They said they won't have a passenger side one for 3-4 months.
But my bet is if everyone keeps contacting them asking for it, they will have it a lot sooner...

everything I’ve seen so far says this is not true. You can use the Amazon fix without getting your visor replaced.
clips are junk... will not work
