Thinking of getting aftermarket fenders for Betsy.

What fenders do you recommend? Which ones are rusty crap?

I got the DV8 slim fenders back in 2020. Mainly because they were the only company that had a set of flares for the Gladiator. People talk trash about them, but here we are in 2023 and I still have them on. Not one spot of rust and no issues with them. I used to stand on them all the time when I had my RTT on the back.

I wanted a set of slimmer crawler flares because I rock crawl. Not wanting to get rid of my DV8s, I decided to cut them down. First pic is how they looked from the time I had them until the cut. The second pic is after I cut them down. They're not for everybody, but they fit my purpose.

As a highline fender enjoyer I will say they turned out pretty good. Nice work with the sawsall ? how much bumpstop you run up front and how much lift? Any good pics fully flexed? I plan to so something similar.

Thanks! I was freaking out. Once you start cutting, you can't go back!?

I have the Mopar 2" with 3/4" lift. I think the bumpstops are 2". They came with the lift. They are shot though. I've had the lift on for over 2.5yrs and over 136,000 miles.

I like the Genright fenders a lot. Saw a set of Metalcloak fenders in person last weekend and they look nice too.

Can't go wrong with the big names. Motobilt is another to consider, as is Metalcloak. Nemesis has a great set also but are slightly more expensive than other options.

"Talk to me about Fenders"

Personally, I prefer a good Stratocaster, American made, not the ones made in Mexico.

Of course if you're a country fan, you can't go wrong with a Telecaster though.

If bass is more your thing, a Jazzmaster is what you're looking for.

And if you want to go really cool and be like Kurt Cobain, get yourself a Jaguar!

@ArmyMP have you considered just doing a fender chop, splitting your 2pc fenders flares? There are some nice brackets on the market, with included lights for DRL and turn signal. Or fabricating your own support brackets and creating your own lights

This, chop the high lines and add braces.
