Those wives typically have high mileage and require a lot of maintenance ruining any savings you may get, plus you never know what kind of issues they have that put them back on the market. I'd advise you avoid them as a money pit.

any used vehicle can have issues. Many people like aftermarket on Jeeps and take great care of their vehicles. I’d argue a lot of built Jeeps are much more frequently maintained since they are actually used. Do you your due diligence and get it inspected from reputable shops.
