We need some random “Here’s ur sign” comments in here to Pirate it up a bit. Haven’t been on that forum in over a decade but I’d bet it’s still the same. Entertaining as all Heyal!!
I still haven't recovered from the last time I was on that forum. :CWL: I don't think Jay could handle that place.

Welp, bubby ya barking up the wrong tree all children here , not a single mechanic. If your having reading difficulties I suggest enrolling in a online reading course. Since we are so opinionated how's about another opinion. Go somewhere else. Cheers
I think it might be someone's first couple days on this new thing called the Internet.

There is some funny shit on that forum. But you risk your own mental well being when you go there.
I was doing some research - can't recall what it was, maybe about some early axles, and holy cow.......... yeah, it's quite different.

It is but if you can sift through the Bs there’s some really good info there. They do have a pretty solid knowledge base but they do like to throw wrenches. AT EACH OTHER!!
Yeah I was over there awhile back checking on some switch and axle stuff also . Specifically lockers sensors . There was a fella there that potted his sensors now He had it right fantastic write up . But yeah .

I miss the days where the internet had no filter. Everyone is too damn sensitive these days. It's going to take a lot more than text on the forum to offend me as it should everyone else. There's nobody on my ignore list. There are plenty of people here and on the JL forum I disagree... and I tend to respond to them frequently. It's a discussion forum, that's the entire point. Why would I try to turn it into an echo chamber of only people who agree with me?

There's a great write up on potting them here, too. A member did a how-to.

To be offended, you have to allow it. No one can offend you unless you allow yourself to be offended.

I'm on some ignore lists but at current time, no one is on mine. I have used ignore to allow, or, rather force, myself a cooling off time but remove them after a few days.

This makes me laugh. Starting out at Jeeps unlimited, Pirate, and NAXJA 20 yrs ago, this is nothing. Even the Facebook gladiator forums are brutal compared to here.
I joined Jeepsunlimited.com August 1997, shortly after my first TJ purchase. What was once the mother of all Jeep Forums has went the way of the Dodo bird. I never knew why???

Pirate was formed in the early days by true off road people that fabricated and built everything they drove. The unsuspecting new Jeep owner asking how big a tire can he run with stock suspension was met with satanic flames.

I can't stand most facebook car groups/pages. The Tacoma ones are god awful. I lasted a couple weeks on one of the Tacoma pages until I saw everyone bashing a mentally handicapped dude that absolutely loved Tacomas and would always post how he loved everyones truck. They ran him into the ground. Fucking pathetic. I noticed over the year that I owned a Taco that a large majority of that owners group had a lot of growing up to do.

I'm not against some shit talking, I'm not against a little trolling and poking fun WHEN it's clearly well received and mutual fun, and I'm not against debates when it stays civil, but some folks take things too far and just can't take the hint that their being shitheads. When things resort to name calling and incoherent keyboard mashing responses then I'm done. I don't see that too much on here. Plenty of stubborn members that always think they are right and have to get in the last word, but overall it stays relatively civil around these parts.
