Smaller key fob - 3d print

Here is a 3d printed key fob that is smaller than the factory fob. I moved the actual key to my key smart key organizer instead. I have posted the files (stl, stp) on printables, feel free to improve on the design and share with the community.

I have no intent on printing and selling these, I've posted the files for anyone to print.

I have not tried printing in ABS yet, only PLA and PETG

Bummer. I would gladly pay for one of these. One of the best options I have seen. I wish I had a printer and knew how to edit STL files.

Many thanks for doing the work and posting the files. I hate the key in my fob, it always opens and gets stuck in my pocket.

STL are not usually for editing but, I just watched this a few days ago



I'm not sure how @szech713 feels but there are companies/sites that will print stl files for you

Just shows the level of I don't know what I don't know... LOL

I've watch a ton of videos on 3d printing and am jonesing do have my own printer to play with. I took a CAD drafting class in high school half a lifetime ago, so would be extremely rusty at this point trying to make/modify 3d models.

AJT Design’s might not be the smallest replacement fob case and it’s a bit pricey but it’s a very good design and is made of high quality materials. It’s worth the dough in my opinion.

Unless the owner says otherwise, you guys should respect the licensing restrictions on the website he linked. I've had people take designs I've shared for free and try to sell them, which is a real dick move.
