Don't do that to yourself. The money you're saving won't seem like a great deal if you ever need to file a claimCheck out Progressive. I just switched from USAA to them.

Haha, it was a hard decision. But, for the same coverage I really am saving a ton. I’d be able to pay out of pocket for the amount I’m saving. USAA will always have the best customer service and I still bank with them, but in these crazy times, I have to save where I can. I wish USAA would price match, especially considering I’ve been with them almost 20 years, but there was nothing they could do.Don't do that to yourself. I've definitely come out waaay ahead on my insurance claims vs what I have paid into them on home, auto, and medical. And I love being able to have their legal teams go after the other insurance when someone does something stupid.Insurance is fraud just like the IRS........but we have to play ball
I got what you're saying................I'm on the other end of the spectrum......pay, pay and pay and nothing in return.....just rates that go up for not a single reason or fault on my actions.I've definitely come out waaay ahead on my insurance claims vs what I have paid into them on home, auto, and medical. Hagerty is the only rates that seem to go up for me, and that's because it's an agreed upon replacement value. Gotta keep up with the classic values or some idiot will rear end you, and you'll end up with less than it's worth.I got what you're saying................I'm on the other end of the spectrum......pay, pay and pay and nothing in return.....just rates that go up for not a single reason or fault on my actions.
I would disagree with both statements honestly. I and my extended family have always faired much better with claims than people we know, and i've found quite a few other companies willing to beat the rate.USAA's customer service is not what it used to be.......but their rates are still hard to beat if you have a clear driving record
See that's a policy or rate I would not be too butt hurt about.........gotta protect the investment you made.Hagerty is the only rates that seem to go up for me, and that's because it's an agreed upon replacement value. So I’ve actually never been in an accident and have never needed to file any claims, but the rates we were given were not great. Maybe it is regional? I’m in the DC area. We also had home bundled with them, which we also ended up changing. I think they are still great in the CS department compared to others, but I haven’t needed to speak with them since cancelling the auto insurance.USAA's customer service is not what it used to be.......but their rates are still hard to beat if you have a clear driving record
You're lucky then.I would disagree with both statements honestly. I and my extended family have always faired much better with claims than people we know, and i've found quite a few other companies willing to beat the rate.
I never switch because saving $550 per year (most recent quote from State Farm) just isn't worth it when I've heard and read how they treat their own customers during the claims process. Any time I or my mother or brother had had a USAA claim it's always been handled amazing quickly and we got more than we were expecting.
My personal tale: my sedan was rear-ended on a Saturday evening around 7pm. Body shops, mechanics, and dealers are all closed in my state on Sundays. Monday the adjuster declared it totaled, and Tuesday 8am I had a check in my hands for more than I was expecting (and i was already expecting in-kind replacement value plus tax and tags, it's not like my sights were set to low).
USAA doesnt cover squat. I just spoke with them a few months ago about adding extra coverage on my JT and TJ and they said they can only cover up to $1,000 worth of accessories. Thats a joke. On top of that they told me they appraise at KBB with no exception or adjustment. Well all know KBB wont evenget close to touching the cost of these rigs. I just have been too busy to tell them off and switch to a different insurance company.Don't do that to yourself. The money you're saving won't seem like a great deal if you ever need to file a claim
Yeah I'm in the DMV too, Severna Park/Annapolis area.So I’ve actually never been in an accident and have never needed to file any claims, but the rates we were given were not great.
