I have not. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same drive to contribute valuable information to the forum community. It's a little daunting, but maybe you will be the person who can confirm whether or not the new replacement engines come with the new HPFP installed. I'm being told that it does, but I have not seen actual evidence (photos showing the part, part number, or other value information).
I hear you. Sounds like Stelantis is just as confused. Ram Care case manager provided me yesterday "68631088AA" and assured me that this was the "new" HPFP for the Z46 recall remedy. called back today to try and get some clarity as my local dealer said everything they show is parts not available and that isn't correct. Of course, different case manager and they couldn't figure out why that part number was provided as parts are "not available" and wont be until late Q4. I was hopeful if someone had a sneak peak into that part number some of us could get a dealer moving in the right direction and order that. My HPFP is is growling pretty good and the diesel tech at the local dealer said its days are numbered.

When people talk about a noisy pump, they are usually referring to the lift pump. What symptoms are you having?

Its an audible growl almost from the engine (similar to a bad bearing almost, but not quite). I changed the belt as it was due. changed 2 idler pulleys and checked all the other bearings. All were good. Noise still there and slowly getting worse with time. I had it at the dealer recently for an oil leak before the warranty expired and had them check it out. There Diesel tech checked it out and said they traced it to the CP4 HPFP. That's what was making the noise and its days are numbered. I was put on a wait list for parts. I was skeptical myself, but I'm not a diesel mechanic. That being said, the CJDR diesel tech is very well versed in this engine (owns one himself) and has been very knowledge with all the issues I've had with this motor since new (EGR Cooler replace/timing chain cover leak). Just don't want to end up on the side of the road if they are in fact correct and the pump fails.

Was the turbo an outright failure or what was the reason for the replacement? Getting a whirring noise at aroun 1200 to 1000 RPMs and not sure if it is some kind of air surge at the airbox or the turbo or even if its normal.. its more prevalent in the cold.
It was leaking oil, i thought it was the drain but was told it was the seal

So... According to the Recall info 3rd Qtr is when the fix is going to be applied.... almost the middle of 3rd Qtr.... Any inklings from the field or dealers? Has anyone seen a new part number or any movement?

Still keeping my order as I am price protected but it would have been an easier summer if I had gotten the Glad in May when it was supposed to ship to the dealer lol.

I have been looking funny with lumber strapped to the top of the 11JKU for my summer build project . Instead of one trip with the truck, it was 4 with the JKU as a soft-top doesn't have that much weight capacity vs a truck bed.
Jeep Gladiator Recall: 3.0L EcoDiesel engine high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure (2021-2023 Gladiator) 1690336970853

And my helpers have to ride along

Jeep Gladiator Recall: 3.0L EcoDiesel engine high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure (2021-2023 Gladiator) 1690337847139

Jeep TSB 01A
Make:Jeep
Number:01A
Title:High Pressure Fuel Pump
Date:4/13/2023
Models:
  • 2021-2023 Gladiator
  • 2021-2023 Wrangler
Summary:Some of the above vehicles may have been built with a High Pressure Fuel Pump ("HPFP") that could fail prematurely. A HPFP failure may introduce internally failed component debris into the fuel system potentially causing fuel starvation. Fuel starvation may result in an unexpected loss of motive power, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall to replace the HPFP, and inspect and, if necessary, replace additional fuel system components. The remedy for this condition is not currently available. Dealers will be notified of the launch of this safety recall by way of established communication methods. This recall is estimated to launch in 3rd Quarter of 2023. We ask that you please take the time to ensure that your personnel are aware of this communication and are prepared to execute a customer friendly process for inquiries regarding involved vehicles.

The CP4 isn't an issue as long as you use a fuel additive with lubrication or running biodiesel blends. I've got a buddy that runs biodiesel in his truck, and he now has 415,000 miles on the CP4 with no issues. The recall will take years to complete. It's not a fast or easy replacement part. If there's any sign of metal, then the injectors, fuel lines, and fuel tank get cleaned or replaced. The parts will be a slow release.
Well I ran biodiesel in mine added additive never ran it under a 1/4 tank happened two times

You had two HPFP failures? You might want to change where you get fuel. Water or gasoline contamination will do it.

Recall Dates.webp
Interesting, I picked up my ordered diesel JT June of 2022 but my safety recall sheet says 01A not Z96? Are there different versions?

Anyone have a scheduled date for HPFP replacement or a new pump already... this week was the supposed release week according to the rumor mills.

My dealer still says it's not available, and they keep telling me they'll contact me when it is. I don't believe it so I call them every now and then anyway

did you get the letter for the recall? mine is still being built and the VIN shows as being affected by the Recall. Dealer still says JS status.
