Recall: 3.0L EcoDiesel engine high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failure (2021-2023 Gladiator)

Anyone have a scheduled date for HPFP replacement or a new pump already... this week was the supposed release week according to the rumor mills.

We are anticipating the release for the JL/JT to be release by 10/24/23.

did you get the letter for the recall? mine is still being built and the VIN shows as being affected by the Recall. Dealer still says JS status.

I feel like this has been drawn out too long. We’ve all spent at least $50k on these rigs only to be lead around about a possible repair. I’ve got $10k in upgrades, and countless smiles with this rig. How are we to be compensated for that when you offer me a buyback when this thing fails? I have a 22 right now, and a clatter that sounds like the HPFP. At least I travel in groups when I’m out if I need a ride home. It will be a hell of a tow bill for Jeep though.

This is the first time I saw JeepCares mention it specifically, but the dealerships I've spoken to have all told me an estimated date and then pushed it back multiple times.

Same old CP 4.2 from the schematics and superseded part numbers for vehicles dating back to 2014. New-Old-MaybeTheSame-CP42

October 2023 seems to be "the date" they'd have to start shipping these last 1000 diesel Gladiators for $70k a piece.

CSSMZ461AA is the recall pump kit
68631088AA is the warranty replacement pump.

The rumor is that it's the same pump internally but built with hardened parts. I know a dealer tech that has installed two pumps already.

Same pump, just with hardened parts. The dealer tech said he's got no other information, but he's installed two pumps so far to satisfy warranty. He even took a picture of the box with the part number.

I think the rumors are correct about it being the same pump s the schematics look the same. What is included in the pump kit? There’s no details on what’s included.
