I purchased the Ironman America Raid series bumpers for a 2023 Mojave. The stock rear plastic bumper has 2 piece bezels holding the LED for the license plate which according to their instructions mounts as a direct replacement into theirs. The fact that they're not a match for their cutout in the bumper may speak to another midyear production change or maybe it's model specific...I'm hoping someone has some information. I may have to purchase a replacement but wouldn't know what to order.

So those bezels were different based on the type of OEM rear bumper - plastic or steel. Could be that they need the ones from the steel bumper.

I found this out when swapping to my Motobilt rear bumper, their website mentions the ones it is compatible with that's why I started digging into the differences.

  • Reuse your factory license plate lights (Please Note: "Sport" models may have different inner & outer license plate light bezels. This bumper is compatible with these Mopar light bezels: 6TC49TRMAAA LH, 6TC51TRMAAA LH, 6TC48TRMAAA RH, 6TC50TRMAAA RH)

Now to your point about change over between model years, that definitely could be a thing too.

I was hit and run rear ended by a Wrangler. I replaced the plastic Mojave with a steel Rubicon bumper. The backup lights are different. At the time I could only find the right side light the left was out of stock everywhere I looked. I didn't buy any, instead I ended up cutting a piece of 1/2 inch neoprene, then made a slit 1/4 inch deep on the edge, popped it in the hole. Bought a small license plate light that attached with the lic bolts. I intended for this to be a temporary thing, that was 30,000 miles ago...

I'm waiting on a response from IronMan...hopefully later today.

It seems odd to me that aftermarket manufacturers choose to match the steel version over the plastic. After all why pay more for the optional steel version then change it out for aftermarket?

I'm a little concerned that the cutout by IronMan doesn't appear to match either the plastic or steel versions. Comparing your patch on the steel bumper to my photos the stock configuration appears the horizontal dimension is greater than its height. I'm hoping to get a clarification from them today. Updates to follow...

Nothing more permanent than a temporary solution.
