Good God folks, the OP just wanted some information!

OP, feel bored and punched yet? I bet you do.

I will apologize for the other posters here that have not mastered the art of being tactful.

I have been known to be out of my mind sometimes. All I’m saying is, it is $2200 with that company for an 8.4 uconnnect. That’s silly nonsense.
To you, perhaps, but not to millions of others.
Tell ya what - you don't but what you don't want, and we'll buy what we do want
I wish the 8.4 was bigger, in reality, and one of these days you'll realize that the world isn't like you and some of us not only want, but need that bigger screen.
Silly? Back in 2011 when I was shopping for a new truck, I settled on a Silverado - nice extended cab, LS engine, 4x4, it was missing NAV.
I asked about that - oh, that's another $2,000
So - that was 12 years ago, 2,000 for NAV and you think 2200 is crazy in today's dollars?

I have a feeling Frank is talking about UConnect, one of the more expensive and worthless options
Better clarify as UCONNECT is an OS and part of the very essence of the radio.
Are you talking about the SiriusXM Guardian? That's not UCONNECT.
UCONNECT isn't an app, it's not guardian, it's the whole system.

Other folks may want them but I can lock & unlock my own vehicle,
So many people think of their world as THE world - the handicapped people, those who have served and lost limbs and certain other functions, and those who get OLD and have issues with flexibility and movement.

I really can't wait until a few young Jeep people get old and finally understand there's a whole world out there that ain't them.
My wife is restricted to things like power steering, automatic transmission and power windows is pretty much essential.
Don't you even think of questioning her driving ability - I can here the thoughts now "well, if she's that bad she shouldn't be driving".
Wrong. She's not had an accident in her life in all the miles she's driven. The only time she was involved in one was when another driver ran a light and hit her - she was 20. So 45 years of driving since then, not even involved in an accident.

LOL - comes in with a rant about pop-ups and no one has a bloody clue as to what the heck he's talking about! Then he's trying to speak for the world when it's only his opinion on whether or not something has any value.
"one of their ads popped up"
HUH? What ad? Who's ad? Popped up where, in the Jeep? On the TV? On the phone?

I appreciate it. I’m here because I dig my Gladiator and love to tinker with it. Much like many of you nice folks. We won’t always agree and that’s ok.

I'm glad you have a good sense of humor... I've run into a few on here who don't...
Nice, refreshing... this is a great group of people with common interests.. rare these days. Kudos
Thank you sir. Life’s to short to take things too seriously.

He has a point. They are very high priced and if I am not mistaken, some of the stuff is re-conditioned ( I could be wrong, I been searching for a simple Mopar Sirius radio). BUT OP is correct about their prices. https://infotainment.com/

Who has ever gone there anyway? Not me. Never heard of them, didn't even know they were a company so had no idea what he was talking about. Infotainment is a very very generic term when speaking of all cars and trucks. It's a category people rate about their vehicles.
So when someone says "infotainment" I think - oh, he's talking about some modern radio system in a Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, Jeep or whatever.

simple - if you don't like the prices of that company, don't shop there, duh!

I’m sure they’ll have a 12.3 kit soon, from the 2024s to add to all others. That’s what they specialize in, a kit and programming. That’s what they charge for. Sure anyone can just buy the parts and figure it out, but for some cars it’s harder to do. Never bought from them but almost did a digital cluster swap from them for my mustang back when I had it, ended up using another vendor, but it was a kit, came with everything you need and was pre-programmed.

Not sure why the hate, sure is it expensive, yes, don’t buy it then lol.

I think I came off a little strong on my original post. Certainly triggered a few of the more delicate folks on here. I was irritated when I saw their prices. This inflation makes my bank account seem like somebody popped a hole at the bottom of it.

Oh yea I agree $$, but they provide a good service if you can afford or & want it. I know a few of the ram guys that have used them to go with the larger Uconnect systems. Plug and play because of what they do. Some people think it’s worth it, you know how it is man.
