2023s are going to be on dealer lots well into 2024. There's c. 24,000 in transit or on lots nationwide now selling at around 100-125/vehicles a day since these 20-25% off MSRP discounts started to appear. That's close to 200 days supply. Sales of 2023s will slow further once 2024s start showing up.

I'm in the market for a Gladiator, but think I'll wait until late December, see what's left within 500 miles, and then see how desperate dealers are to get 2023s (or even 2022s - they're still hundreds of those left) off their lots.
I tried using the Jeep nationwide search and their website works terribly. I'm not sure I trust that 24,000 number.

For example, I wanted to track how many vehicles sold over timebin my area using their favorites and the way the site works it kept allowing me to re-add the same truck a bunch of times.

Also when I filtered a smaller radius, the number matched up near exact to what autotrader was showing me. Autotrader nationwide is showing about 13,000. Autotrader is owned by Cox automotive and is pretty legit data wise.

If the inventory amount is 13,000 and not 24,000, and the strike continues with incentives the way they are then incentives could dry up a bit

$52,000 for a new Sport S is way overpriced to start.

It's easy to do deep discounts when it's overpriced.
Exactly. I paid 52 for a fully loaded rubicon. I’d definitely not pay that for a sport.

I don't think the Jeep inventory tool is 100% accurate, but I think it's more accurate than Autotrader. Not every dealer lists their vehicles on Autotrader. CarGurus.com, which is a more popular site than Autotrader, has 18,200 new Gladiators listed, which also doesn't reflect total inventory. Every one of the Gladiators I've clicked on from the Jeep tool leads me to the listing at a dealership. The strike is the wild card here, but I still think it's highly likely that thousands of 2023 Gladiators will be available long after the strike is over and 2024s are starting to fill up lots.

From the Jeep inventory tool:

9/14/2023 - 24,890

9/18/2023 – 24,458

9/23/2023 – 23,643

Selling 138 vehicles/daily. That's 171 days of inventory - if that rate holds up.

I paid $34500 for my max tow in 2020, employee discounts
In 2020 you could get a striped sport manual for 29k (the base base). I paid 34.5k for my 21 manny sport (that's interest, tax, etc.). It's kind of insane that they sale for anything more than that honestly. They made sense at that price point, as a base sport was better than the Tacoma TRD sport at the time. Now? 45k? Lol

$29K would be like 10% below base invoice pricing from the first release order guide pricing.

I bought my 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave a couple weeks ago and it was 12.5% off MSRP. I've read so many different tales on discounts I don't know if I should feel like I got ripped off or if I did ok, not that it really matters at this point. I'm enjoying it and that's all that matters once bought.

I went onto the Covina website and found the reality to be less than 20k. First you would have to qualify for all the possible rebates, and second you would have to want one of the few choices that they are offering a good discount on.

Hemet is another one that advertises rock bottom prices. But, you need to add another $6500+ to the list prices to account for add ons and rebates you may not qualify for (military + trade in assistance)

I hope this is Jeep just trying to clear out all the 2023s before they have a second big reveal of the JT where they announce the 5.7, 392, 4XE, or Hurricane version. If that is even in the pipeline, Jeep knows no one will buy an old 3.6 2023 or 2024 and would wait for the new engine.

This. A base Sport means crappy can't see sh#t halogen lights, a crappy can't her sh#t stereo, manually adjusted cloth seats, and donut tires befitting a Hyundai. $45-50K is insane.

The article isn't even just dumb, it's a dumb lie. The 20k isn't off MSRP, it's off the dealer's posted price.
I believe the kids refer to that as "Fake and gay."

As soon as you sit down they’ll show you all the laughable adds. I got $10k off my Sport a few weeks ago. Still, $37,500 for a rig with roll up windows is nuts. Good thing it is super fun to drive and I take the top off often. Can’t do that with a Toyota.
