It seems that way, but once you drive it a little bit it stops doing it. It only does it if the truck has been sitting parked for a while and then after driving a bit, it stops. For instance, when I leave work tonight, it will do it when I pull out of the parking spot about halfway down the lot then stop. It will start again as I slow down to go around the bend and out of the lot, but then after driving down the street to my office that leads to the main road, I won't hear it again until I park and let it sit a while.

One thing I did mention is it seems temperature sensitive. I had been hearing it much less/not at all when it was getting colder, then as it warmed again recently it was doing it again.
Same situation.

I have a 2022 Rubicon, had since last November and 26k miles bought brand new and have the same exact noise. I think Jeep Corporate needs to know about this as a bulletin to fix it going forward. Seems like it happens to everyone and it’s the same thing around 30k miles or so.

2020 JTR. I don't know when mine first started doing it. It magically quit for a while before starting back, maybe during cold weather, I don't know.

One thing I haven't seen in this thread is when I back down my driveway, it doesn't chirp. Only when pulling forward out of a parking space after sitting for a while. I'm getting close to needing brakes, so maybe that'll uncover something.

I have 58K on my JT and have this squeak... looks like I need to look at the brake pads and shim on the rear passenger side... thank you for all the posts!

Updates:

The frustrating:
So I took it back to the dealer. "There is nothing wrong with the brakes." The shims were NOT broken as described above. BUT, they claim they looked at the rear drums and "found scuffs relating to the parking brake" they believe was/is causing the issue. They played both sides by claiming brakes are only covered to 12k miles and sent me a "highly discounted" estimate of $1500 to replace the parking brake. But they couldn't guarantee this would resolve the issue. LOL what?!?

I responded if that doesn't resolve then Jeep should give me back my $1500 and then cover whatever is squeaking. Tear it apart if they have to. They told me "It doesn't work that way." And then went through the whole "it's a jeep thing, Jeeps just make noises sometimes."

So imagine buying a $60k Bronco and having a loud squeaking noise that grabs the attention of anyone in the parking lot and anyone inside the building next to the parking lot and Ford telling you "It's a Bronco thing. Lots of Bronco's do that." Total corporate abuse of Jeep Culture at Jeep IMO.

The promising news so far:

After I told them to pound sand on the $1500, the one thing they recommended was using the parking brake more. I live in Florida and like most Floridians, I never use the parking brake. I've driven it 5 different days since I got it back and I've used the parking brake about 50% of the time. It hasn't made the noise since I got it back.

I assume that they did some level of disassembly of the parking brake, did a little cleaning, and then put things back together as they were doing their inspection. Maybe some combination of that and me using the parking brake has tightened things up and resolved the issue. I shouldn't HAVE to use the parking brake if I don't want to but whatever... If that stops the completely infuriating, teeth rattling squeaking then its a small price to pay.

The issue was definitely intermittent so I'm expecting since I made this post that it will happen on my way home today. I'll report back here in couple of weeks either way. I'm hoping this is the end of my issue.

I have a 2020 Sport S have 36,000 on it I used my park brake all the time had to stop using due to the squeaking rear brakes, It doesn't squeak as bad now but still squeaks intermittently. I'm going to disassemble the rear brakes and clean up the park brakes , see if that will stop the squeaking.

I have a 2020 RUBI. WITH 57,000 MILES. Dealer has been throwing parts at it trying to figure the squeak out.
Replaced drums ,rotors , calipers, pads.
Now SAT. during the 15 block xmas parade I was in with the club. Windows down 5 mph constant rotational squeak .I called dealer I had him order a rear driveshaft
instead of the axle he had on order. Everything is on back order .Fingers crossed this resolves it.

Truck makes squeaking noise when taking off or rolling at low speed in parking lots. Never happens when brakes or applied. I’ve taken my 2020 Gladiator in to the dealer 3 times now and can’t seem to get the problem resolved. I have provided video/audio of the issue but unable to reproduce while on the lot. Anyone else have similar issue?

Mine is doing the exact same sound at low speeds! Not sure what it could be yet

I took my rear brakes off to check for the broken spring clip thing mentioned above. All of mine were intact. Noise does not go away with parking brake use but does go away with regular brake use. I also lubed everything up as far as the pad slides/clips. I STILL have this noise. Very annoying when slowly driving around the hunting spot.

My god I’m experiencing this same damn thing right now and it’s driving me nuts. Of course it’s impossible to ever get my truck looked at bc it takes them a week to diagnose something. It sounds like it’s coming from the rear
