• They make a GTX version of the Moab, but the Jeep Rubicon Edition is not GoreTex. WTF?

• Don’t try to justify no GTX with some “I don’t need it” nonsense. I’ve owned lots of light summer hikers in GTX including Merrells and Asolos. Light GTX are plenty breathable. That’s the point of GoreTex. Waterproof breathability. They need a light outer shell to work. Heavy GTX boots otoh are swamp foot makers.
• I carry 2 pieces of footwear when overlanding/camping: flip flops and waterproof boots of some kind. I’m always getting out at water crossings to do dorky shit. I need GTX. Damn you Merrell for not making a Jeep Edition out of the GTX model. Damn you to shoe hell.
• I switched from Merrell to Asolo years ago because my Merrells kept falling apart. Maybe they’re better now. Just sayin.
• @OluKai if you’re listening, please make some Jeep Edition Mekila Rubicons with Jeep carvings in the leather. Please take my money. I pray to the fake Hawaiian shoe gods.
• @HeyDude let’s be honest, you’ll do a collab with literally anyone. Why not a Rubicon Wally Sock? Get on the ball, dude.

Yeah, I agree. $170 for a boot you can get for $100 is a steep increase.

Even with 20% off, it's a $36 price jump for some lettering. But you could apply the 20% to anything and get the regular boot for $80 then, so it's still about $56 more expensive!

Of course, everyone is different and this may scratch the itch certain people have.

I have many pair of Merrell shoes and boots, but l agree. Us cool hood Mojave owners can’t wear a Rubi branded boot. That would be like a guy wearing a dress, it just ain’t right. And here come the flood of Rubi owners replying. ???

I heard the Mojave boots are coming out this summer- they are going to be significantly more comfortable for walking on concrete, be really slippery in front, and they are going to reinforce some part of the boot that only 1 in 10,000 owners will use in such a way that they will notice
