Also, how are a lot of people getting batteries replaced under warranty?
I showed up and played dumb, saying "I dunno, the auto start/stop has quit working." Both batteries replaced under warranty (about 24k miles).

Auto start/stop has since quit working again, but I'm not under warranty anymore. ?

This same thing just happened to me. Truck is a little over 2 years old with 26,000 miles. Where was yours when this happened? Did it ever return after replacing the battery? I wouldn’t think the battery would go that quick. Also, how are a lot of people getting batteries replaced under warranty?
The batteries, both main and aux, have been failing at anywhere from months to 3 or so years. Yeah, it happens. They do go that quickly. Even in other cars according to some customers standing chatting in a NAPA store last year. They were complaining about how he's not had batteries last over years in his cars.

They are getting them replaced under warranty because the dealers are testing them and finding them to fail the tests - and replacing them. It's really that simple - if you have a problem where the cluster says "auto stop/start not ready, battery charging" and you DO drive it frequently and you DO drive it over 20 minutes or so each trip, then they can test the batteries.

That can be due to any number of things, not just batteries.

I just always thought batteries were a normal wear item and never covered under warranty. Also, after I got home I tried it again and it worked so idk.

Also, mine doesn’t say start / stop doesnt work. I’m assuming it has to say that for warranty work? Would the start / stop ‘avengers’ light also need to be on?

Just like buying batteries over the counter, there's a warranty on them - but these inherit the truck 3 year/36,000 mile warranty if I recall correctly.

No.

Stop/start not ready, battery charging
is the message associated with low battery voltage.
This may be due to bad or weak batteries
OR
You aren't driving it frequently enough to keep the batteries charged
or
the drives aren't long enough to keep the batteries charged

My resting voltage is 12.2. Not really sure if that’s too low to crank with the remote but it starts fine the normal way. Also, is it possible it’ll recover when it gets warm? My start / stop doesn’t say charging as well. Any chance it’s the key fob even though it goes through the motions and the locks work with it? TIA

Edit: it says start/stop not ready but no reason why below it.

We've had a cold snap here in the SE this week and my remote start isn't working. The lights flash, and it attempts to start for about a half second and then nothing. It starts just fine normally. Battery shows 14+ once running. Is the Aux battery responsible for the remote start? Thoughts?
I had the same issue. I replaced both batteries and it corrected the remote start.

That's low - indicating short drives, infrequent drives, or the batteries not holding over time sitting with the normal parasitic draw of the electronics.
Possible the system has determined, via the IBS history on the battery and so on it's not enough for a remote start, but without any actual troubleshooting or hands on, it's just educated guesses based on a very very small amount of information.

I drive to work 30 mins and then home 30 mins 5 days a week and that’s about it.
