Anybody else find Airlift 1000 kit for JT a bit stiff when at minimum PSI (5) and unloaded?

I got kit for $70, installed it myself about a week ago. 'T' Lines setup to gas cap. Is there some 'break in' on bags? Do I need to run them really hard for them to bead in then 5psi will be supple enough? It is cold here, are they that sensitive?

I tow 4500# TT. WDH. Brake Controller. Happy with road manners, but I am getting a bit of squat so I know bags will help that. I am not interested in every day ride degradation. <5psi feels better (outside manufacture spec, though looks good in there, not creasing/collapsing bags), and I have tried a couple gauges.

Also, regarding payload: sticker says my payload 1100#. I know that is the law and Mojave supple suspension not helping me. But relative to max tow package 1700#, how is my Mojave 600# worse (now with airlift spring rate)? I have same, axels, cooling, gearing, better frame even, better tcase, but different shocks and springs. Does my airlift spring rate increase not bridge gap on Mojave's soft springs. Shock tune still my issue maybe... fancy hood, tire package, and rails maybe?!

Pic is pre bags.

Tcase doesn't count into the equation at all. its just a different ratio in 4LO. The biggest loss to the Mojave is that it sits the highest out of all the Max Tow trim levels, so higher center of gravity. that reduces capacity. Now in my personal experience the Mojave shocks do a great job of dampening well outside their intended use. they manage 37s quite well. bags do help mitigate the soft spring issues, that also alters the capacity. but the sticker isn't gonna count that u have that. Its just gonna go: its higher than a rubi with softer springs, therefore lower capacity. Not fair imo but hey sticker is sticker. 2 things i like to point out. one, The Mojave frame is just the diesel frame, it has the gasser because the diesel is too heavy for its front suspension design/setup. two, I've towed well over sticker with my Mojave and it was far more comfortable an manageable than my Aunt's Rubicon. Discovered later that my Aunt's Rubicon has the Fox branded single body shock and they are grossly under dampened. Now the sticker says it'll do more than my Mojave. Real world, lets just say u better have brass balls and brown pants trying to tow anything with that Rubi. Meanwhile my Mojave shockingly handled 8500ish with no problems. This is just an example that sticker isn't everything but its still good practice to follow it. My aunt's rubi has an appointment to get swapped to the old school red body shocks next week. hopefully that sorts the tow/ride issue.

edit: on another note, The Mojave is the widest stance gladiator as well. Its wheel offset is +35 i believe vs the Rubicon/everyone else +44.

Interesting rubi so different towing. I plan 35s when 33s burn out so good to know 2.5 Fox Shocks will still be good. I had not considered height of truck at all. Height that all the HDs are these days I did not think it was a factor... but #s on Mojave don't lie.

the main take away is that there isn't a mechanical limitation in the Mojave. In a pinch you can do exactly what a sport max tow or Rubicon can.
