Anybody else find Airlift 1000 kit for JT a bit stiff when at minimum PSI (5) and unloaded?
I got kit for $70, installed it myself about a week ago. 'T' Lines setup to gas cap. Is there some 'break in' on bags? Do I need to run them really hard for them to bead in then 5psi will be supple enough? It is cold here, are they that sensitive?
I tow 4500# TT. WDH. Brake Controller. Happy with road manners, but I am getting a bit of squat so I know bags will help that. I am not interested in every day ride degradation. <5psi feels better (outside manufacture spec, though looks good in there, not creasing/collapsing bags), and I have tried a couple gauges.
Also, regarding payload: sticker says my payload 1100#. I know that is the law and Mojave supple suspension not helping me. But relative to max tow package 1700#, how is my Mojave 600# worse (now with airlift spring rate)? I have same, axels, cooling, gearing, better frame even, better tcase, but different shocks and springs. Does my airlift spring rate increase not bridge gap on Mojave's soft springs. Shock tune still my issue maybe... fancy hood, tire package, and rails maybe?!
