@Redruby, you've got me thinking about doing something similar. Do you think the Rubicon's steel bumper is strong enough to mount this swing spare tire? I looked at my stock bumper and it looks like it is 10 gage or about 1/8" think. I don't think that would be enough to hold the swing out arm without bending. This Barricade spare holder is $400 and looks like it can be mounted to any flat, strong surface, with some holes/bolts added.I welded it to the stock bumper
