Been traveling/working a spell, so the truck has set mostly idle outside of getting regeared/lockers added.

However, I spent today hating myself, the Jeep, sound deadener, plastic torx buckles and trim panels.
Jeep Gladiator What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK] IMG_2718

In other words: I ripped off the rear wall to delete the subwoofer, stick on extra sound deadener I had from the doors/floor and mount an aux battery.

Tomorrow, I’ll wire up the battery to the Renogy DC-DC charger (which will go where the Bluetooth speaker went), button up the rear wall and then put the seat delete platforms back in.

edit: someone tell me now if it’s safe to move the drivetrain control module like I did. Not saying I’m putting it back, but I’d like to know if future-me will regret present-me’s decision

Rebuilt (new bushings and steel sleeves) and lengthened the front swaybar links to compensate for the new springs that went on recently. Also lengthened the front LCAs 1/4” for the same reason. It drives fine and the wheel self centers fine. While I was at it, repainted the frame side LCA skids. They’ve been raked over the coals.

Got some parts today (Tazer, Hood Struts, TeraFlex 1.5 and Daystar 3/4 kits, Hood rock guard). Only got around to installing the Tazer so far. Gotta say, what a PITA to get the wires out until I figured out a pair of needle nose pliers might help.

After that, got to installing it and I think its pretty cool. Some of the functions that can be changed are already things on my HA but some could be manipulated for the better. Changed a few of the settings that I either thought were annoying or might be nice if a little different (noted below). Some settings just occur bcuz the Tazer is in the vehicle while driving (noted below). Once I got the hang of the menu and making changes, it was pretty easy.

Now I am ready when I get new wheels/tires.

Vehicle Setting Features
  • Change Tire Size
  • Change Gear Ratio
  • Change Transfer case LOW ratio
  • Enable/Disable TPMS system
  • Change TPMS pressure warning limit front/rear (25psi - 85psi)

  • Enable/Disable CD (wired audio) input*

  • Change Fog light type (std/LED)
  • Change Taillight type (std/LED)
  • Change Front Turn Signal type (std/LED) supports aftermarket LED lights too
  • Enable/Disable Trailer Tow setting
  • Enable/Disable Aux Button settings - in my future
  • Enable/Disable Blind Spot detection (if hardware added or removed)
  • Enable/Disable/Change Parksense configuration
  • Disable Electronic Sway Bar (if removed from vehicle)
  • Disable Front Axle Disconnect module for axle swaps
  • Disable Front and Rear Lockers for axle swaps

  • Can use backup camera and added cargo/front/undercarriage camera or media player at any speed
  • TurnCAM : automatic backup camera when turn signals are used (8.4 uconnect only)
  • Dark Mode : Turns off all exterior lighting and dash/radio/shifter lights while parked with engine running.
  • 3rd Brake Flash : Set rate and number of flashes to pulse the 3rd brake light when brakes are applied for increased visibility - allows some customization.
  • Light Show mode : 6 preset and 3 make-your-own Light shows that flashes all the exterior lights, perfect for car shows/first responders/off-road visibility. Control from Key Fob or steering wheel buttons. Can be enabled for in-motion use for parades, off-road and legal police/EMS.
  • Axle Locker control (Rubicon) : Engage lockers in 2WD and 4Hi on demand.
  • TC Kill : Turns off traction control, stability control and ABS.
  • Hood Alarm : When the vehicle theft alarm is armed, monitors hood activity and will sound the alarm and flash light shows if opened.
  • Cooldown mode : Turn engine fans on demand when the ignition is on, engine not running
  • Line Lock : Can lock front brakes for an easy burnout - where was this when I was a young man??? ;)
  • Rock Crawl : Can lock all four brakes by pressing steering wheel buttons to hold the vehicle still, especially helpful when off-road.
  • Winch Mode : Raise idle to 2000 RPM with a simple button press.
  • Button Mapping : Use cruise up, down and right buttons as quick-access to some of Tazer JL’s functions, when cruise control is off. - This may come in handy in the future.
  • Display DTC’s : Shows the diagnostic codes that’s making the check engine light come on.
  • Clear CELs : Reset that pesky check engine light. Good when you have mods that set the light and you know exactly why. - Cleared a few codes and will monitor them to see if they come back.
  • 0 to 30 and 0 to 60 Timers : Displays 0-30 or 0-60 times on EVIC display
  • Automatically blanks license plate lights when in Reverse on Gladiators, to remove glare on the backup camera at night. - Really like this!
  • Vacuum/Boost gauge : Watch real-time Manifold Pressure, great for boosted/turbo applications
  • Firmware updates : The new firmware is available periodically, always free! - had to update before installing
Have the extension wire coming Monday which will make removal for dealer visits easier. Overall, I like it and see some value in it but that will be mostly for bigger things later (wheels/tires/winch settings, etc).

Will provide some more updates/pics as the installs continue this wknd/next week.

Your fuel mileage should improve some as the engine breaks in some. I've read that will happen by 10,000 miles or so. I just turned over 4,000 and mine has gone up a couple of MPG's so far. I thought about the RC folding tonneau but I ended up getting a Bakflip. I know it was more pricy but I have always read good things about them so I thought I would give it a shot. So far I really like it. Your new JT looks nice. Enjoy
Edit. Also you can get a discount as a forum member at Realtruck. I also got the Oracle rear bumper lights. Wired mine to one of my aux switches which gives me options for different uses.
Can confirm, I just rolled over 7K and for the first time I've reached above 17 mpg

Yesterday I installed the Rugged Ridge Arcus front bumper and the Apex autoLYNX sway bar disconnects. The install was pretty straightforward on both. I had a friend helping me so the extra pair of hands made the bumper install pretty easy. It was a pain removing the bolts on my OEM sway bar links but we finally got them off. I will add some lights on the bumper at some point and maybe a winch down the road. Also looking at the Reaper Offroad skid plate.

yesterday did most of the wiring to add a sub (ported Foxbox) to the alpine system. Just have to add the PAC and run the RCA cables. Installed Rokblokz XL front mud flaps.

I installed the airlift airbags in my mojave. I brought the lines out through the top bolts for the license plate. My only question is how to measure 5PSI. I have nothing that measures air pressure that low.
