Sport S stock wheel tire recs, please.

I have done a search and read some threads, but wanted to put it all together. My Gladiator is my daily driver but also sees frequent light duty hauling (think bed full of pine straw, branches, or boxes and suitcases). I sometimes go off the hard roads, but only grass, dirt, gravel, no trails or rock climbing. There is no snow down here, but we do get hard rain and some standing water fairly regularly (got some great rooster tails driving home yesterday).
It is time to replace the stock tires. I want to keep my stock wheels, but would like a larger diameter tire. I confess it is mostly for looks. I don't need a lift based on my usage, but the stock tires just look disproportionately small.
I do have a Tazer, so I can re calibrate my speedometer, etc.
So to sum it up, I would like a larger diameter tire that fits on my stock wheel, stock suspension Sport S, that is as smooth riding and quiet as possible while still handling well in heavy rain and very mild off road conditions.

Good luck with your tire choices. There are a lot of excellent tires to choose from.

Take a look at the Toyo ATIII in a 285/75R17. Great all around tire, does dirt & rock with no problem, good in the rain as well. They are also very quiet on the road compared to the stock tires. I had them on my JL and really liked them.

When the tires on my Sport wear out that's they way I'm going.

On the JT the original street tires were 245/75/17, which is around 32" in diameter, and a 7" tread width. Yours might be the same.

I chose to move to an all-terrain in size 265/70/17, which is almost identical in diameter, so no need to adjust the computer and also no loss in acceleration or towing. The new tread width is around 9", partly from the tire size and partly from the AT tread pattern. And deeper tread blocks as well.

I chose Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT-E. They're a mild AT tread pattern but quiet on the street and still good for mountain switchbacks at stupid speeds. They are three-peak snow rated, which you might not need if you don't have snow, but the rating also implies better wet pavement traction as well. These tires are also LT tires so they have stiff sidewalls for improved cornering and handling, at the expense of feeling more road bumps. But they're great for offroad, both in durability and all-terrain traction. And they look much nicer than the narrow stock street tires.

I, too, went with 285/75r17 tires (34"). Also, 305/70r17's (34") look good. They won't kill your mileage, either!

I just ordered a 2024 sport S. When I get it in, I plan on switching out the tires to Bridgestone Dueler 285/75/17 all-terrain

For a smooth, quiet ride with a larger diameter, look at all-terrain tires like BFGoodrich KO2 or Falken Wildpeak AT3W.

When I first got mine I bought some Rubicon take-offs and went up to 33ish tires, more like 32.5". Which means you could do the 34s without a lift.

I just ordered a 2024 sport S. When I get it in, I plan on switching out the tires to Bridgestone Dueler 285/75/17 all-terrain

I've been very happy with the Bridgestone Dueler A/T RH-S tires, albeit in stock size. Good ride, good traction in all weather conditions, quiet.
I haven't tried the Revo 3 variant.

Now that I have driven on them for a few days I am still thrilled. They ride as smooth and quiet as OEM. They look WAY cooler.

One thing that’s pretty funny is that I was all ready to change my tire size with the Tazer mini, but my speedometer and Waze seem to only be off about a half a mile per hour. Since they both only read to full numbers, they are sometimes the same, and sometimes Waze reads one mile per hour faster.

Nittos 295/70 fit nicely. I think the ride is nice, but tire noise is so subjective. They are quieter than the destination mt's that came on it. I love the sidewall.
