I would like some feedback or some help understanding why more people that own gladiators or wranglers don’t take the doors and top off when the weather is nice. I have a hard top Mojave and whenever the weather gets 73 or higher I take the doors and entire top off. The reason I bought a gladiator was for the truck bed, off road potential and the ability to take the doors and top off. The way I see it is if you’re not going to do that why get a jeep. There are other options out there with bigger engines and towing capacity. I get that some owners are soccer moms and young kids that just think it looks cool but I’ve driven by guys my age in their forties on a nice day with the windows up. I just don’t get it. Give me some different perspectives please. Thanks

I’ve only owned since December, so there hasn’t been an opportunity. Snow and cold.

What do you do about rain?

I'll drive it naked, but I need to keep an eye on the weather and be able to park it in the garage. Arguably, I'd be fine taking it to work naked, considering where I work.

But, right now? Yeah, no, not in 30F weather...

right now, pollen. But I at least take the freedom panels and front doors off regularly. When I have the time and the weather looks nice for a week or so, then the hardtop and rear doors are off also.
Allergies, popcorn thunderstorms (not predicted, but happen with no notice and quite a downpour), wind - we're one of the most windy states and for us a rather calm day means wind that will suck your breath away while driving, up and down temps, unpredictability, the effort to take it all off, then hours later or the next day, have to put it all back on again, wife riding with me fairly often.........
It's my daily driver and a trip to town is a good 30 minutes away for the places I go.
I also don't have a place to put the doors - the garage is full, there's no wall space at all.
It's so rare that we have "nice weather" for a week. Really rare.
I bought it because it's a small truck, a capable truck, and I needed a small truck with the reliability Jeep offers, and if I did happen to want the top off, I can do so.
Panels can come out - not a problem, can't even do that with most other pickups.

I have a tarp that just covers the cab. I put that on every night and then just take it off in the morning. I’ll use that too if I’m out and caught in a pop up.

I live in NH and in the springtime through late fall I am naked most every day… this year was a little more rainy than most years but as often as I can there is nothing on my gladiator!!
Whole reason why I bought it was I get a truck but can be open to the world… now just need a lift and bigger tires… but that is for another discussion, lol

Nowhere to put the hardtop - no garage/driveway and the wife said it doesn’t work well as a dining table. Sunrider or bust!

Hard to do driving down the interstate..........

When it's 95 degrees and the dew point is 95 - you want that AC.
It's heading to mid-teens tonight.
Winds of 15-20 today, highs in the 30s or so.

Once I strip her she’ll stay through the summer. I just got my tube doors, seat covers, and a cab cover to secure it when I’m not driving it or at night. I want to have it done for my April trips but have to get the time to get it done.
