It means the government used your money before giving it back to you. To me, it means they collected too much so they are giving me back what is mine, later of course.

I failed as a perfect amount tax payer.

Like others have posted, my tax refund is probably going towards that new tunnel the government is subsidizing between NY and NJ.

I wonder if it will stretch all the way here to Arizona so I can enjoy it....

I have mine setup so I don't get much back. Some years I pay a little, some years I get a little back. My favorite was the 1.90 refund. I put the check on the wall in my office (this was before direct deposit) but they kept sending me letters about not cashing it so I finally did.

i almost always get a small return, i had to pay for the first and only time five years ago. i dont like my money being held interest free for a year. Hopefully we get a couple thousand back, id be happy with that.

I just bought a new daily car so idk if my wife is gonna let me even see the money if we get a return. lmao

Just did a state income tax return for the first time in my life. Pretty sure I’m going to prison, but at least I can buy some jeep parts and baby toys for the soon-to-be newborn ??

On top of filing HOH and 2 kids, I pay an extra $850/month to federal. Last couple years I’ve gotten back 8k+ and usually put it all on Jeep stuff. I made monthly payments to the IRS for 11 straight years, seems like karma is coming back to me.

Wifey got a 24 Willy’s Wrangler in Earl Grey 2 weeks ago, so she’s getting a 3.5” lift and 37s with our taxes, and I’m getting a trip to Moab in August. Win win.
