Thanks. After a career of fighting forest fires and two back surgeries, it is now just a part of my life. Thankfully, my toys help to keep my mind busy thinking about mods I am not going to do…today.
While I have been lucky and never had back issues (knock on wood), my Father did so I completely understand. I had a major leg injury a few years back that still gives me problems at times. It's nice to have something that helps get in even if it's at stock height. Hang in there and I hope you heal and feel better.

Had to do a quick wash, my hood looked like a pterodactyl flew over.

The Bestop trail cover came today. I am using it to protect the soft top from sun and bird crap on the Mojave. Very easy to deploy. I am sure in time I will use it for its intended purpose. Ok, this is my last mod until tomorrow.

Do you feel like its in your field of view? Or do you think its not noticeable? I'm 6'1 and I worry that it will bother me when looking out. I like the idea of the interior mount, ease of install, and price. Just worried it will mess with me when Im looking out of the windshield.

How much do you like that bumper? I've wanted to go full aluminum but I love the look of the one you got. But having a Mojave as well, how's the weight impact on the front? I have a rugged ridge stubby and its a heavy bastard for its size.
Its a great bumper. My buddy has it too. I got a screaming deal on Amazon. All of the weight in the bumper is the winch plate and the recovery hooks.

Only complaint is the shitty hardware that comes with it........but as you can see i fixed that.

Keep an eye on Amazon. Its going for $649 NOW, but here is what I got it for

Nothing at all for over a week - not even drive it.
Last times I sat in it, it was as a passenger.

Hope that changes soon, but really, can't think of much else I'd want to do TO it, except maybe run cables back from the engine bay to the rear to power my car hauler's small winch. But do I do that on this one, or hold off just in case I eventually trade?
Other than that, the truck is perfect. Can't think of what else to do to it, maybe one of those one touch window-up modules, but do I really need it? or hold off?

Oh, maybe oil change - it's more than ready but I'm not. No such work like that for a while now. So it's going to have to be over-due for an oil change, I guess.

To be completely honest with you, I kinda like it as it blocks that sun from coming in. On the downside, it does get quite toasty when you have it on + when the sun hits it. You can definitely know that it's there, but I don't think it would be much of a bother.

It blends nicely.
