So what you're telling me is that there are cars that tow more and can carry more than the Gladiator? Pretty embarrassing for a truck.

Easier to just set a universal standard: open cargo area and can carry a full sheet without a flag? It's a truck. Closed cargo area or cannot carry a full sheet without a flag? It might as well be a car.

I can fit more stuff and more weight in my 4Runner than I could my max tow.

I am telling you the gladiator is a truck.. and same class as Colorado, Tacoma, Ranger... all trucks and IDC if yer lawnmower can tow more

Not true, even here I’ve seen a few people refer to these obvious trucks as “cars.” I was just trying to take the temperature, so to speak, and it appears the majority acknowledge that Gladiators are indeed trucks.

I started this thread merely to take the temperature, so to speak. The majority conversed in a fraternal manner, and I thank you all. Sadly, a few responded angrily toward me, and my suspicion is that these folks were responding to the title and not the entire OP. Granted, I’m not the only poster these few go after but they certainly make the vast majority of members stand out all the more as being helpful people who view this forum more as a fraternal group.
