Yeah, I would probably pay for parts if they did the labor. I've paid a lot in hassle. Would be glad to fix it.

Just wondering how the software interacts with an aftermarket clutch? Any cons or is it transparent.

Doesn’t seem to be any issue from anyone that’s had one installed.

got the JScan and it doesn’t have the eeprom clutch reset procedure. Talked with them over the past 2 days and they are gonna have it in the next software update for JScan for us!

So if you keep the Mojave and have the issue again should be able to quickly reset it without leaving Hatteras and without going to the dealer ?

Great customer service can’t help but recommend JScan!

Out of curiosity have you changed tire size and/or gearing?
If you did have you recalibrated and what did you use to do so?

I just bought a leftover '23 MT and had the same issue.

There are some calibrations that need to be done that they don't mention in the recall. (stupid, I know) It seems to be a software issue and not mechanical. My understanding is the vehicle compares engine speed and road speed depending on which gear it is in. If there is a discrepancy, it thinks the clutch is slipping and gives the warning, sometimes going into limp mode.

The dealer reprogrammed the tire size and the clutch eprom to fix the issue.
Reading back through this thread and seen this.
I assume you have larger tires(35ā€+)
Had you programmed the tire size your self with Tazer or jscan type tool and it still set the service transmission light ?

I used the Tazer on mine and have gotten the light a second time now and I’m wondering if it doesn’t change it where it needs to in order to fix this issue.

I hate to pay dealer but if they can program the size and it fixes my issue long term then so be it.

The programmed tire size won't matter. A change in differential gearing could. The computer only knows what's going from the engine through to the axle hubs (wheel speed sensors). Tire size is about speedometer/odometer accuracy and the mpg calculations. The number you program for tire size is for your benefit only, if you desire an accurate speedometer.

In my case, still have stock tires and gearing. My update, Jeep customer retention offered me financial compensation. I said, it had better equal the amount of the truck. It's seriously an insult. It's like saying, hey I know you already bought this jeep. You cant drive it in the rain, but we'll give you some money back.

Next week Jeep is opening up a star case. I'm assuming they are going to mention clutch replacement. I'm going to offer to pay the delta from OEM clutch to ACT and see how that goes.

So I put the ACT with Pro-Mass in mine the other day. I’m pretty happy with it. I have to break it in and put some miles before I give a full review.
But that said the pedal is firmer with more push back and definitely feel when it starts to engage. I have 0 worries about it slipping and with the heavier flywheel the drivability seems to have improved.
couple pics of the old and new.

If this is the case then it’s some other software issue with the set up.
I could 100% be wrong but I feel like there would be some communication from one system to another dealing with doors and expected speed that could cause an issue if they don’t all match up.

that said the two times mine has thrown this code have centered around using 4wheel drive so ??ā€ā™‚
Otherwise non issue the other 4,300miles with the larger tires.

That looks like two different vehicles, not just 2 clutches. I'm super impressed. I'm very tempted to just order it and get it over with, since that's what I'm going to do in the end.

Assumption incorrect. Brand new, bone stock, and it happened on the way home with 43 miles on it.

There is a lot of communication. I say there is way too much. We didn't have all these trouble codes and troubles before there were so many sensors and communication between them and software engineers thinking they can write code to detect everything but not understanding that the real world is not perfect like the ideal conditions of their lab. Things go wrong in the real world. Sensors give faulty data, connections go bad or glitchy, wires chafe and short or break, tolerances stack up, etc.

You want to detect a slipping clutch? Just sniff the air. No trouble code required.
