Got my 3in lift done yesterday with Dobinson MRR adjustable shocks and springs, Metalcloak control arms, track bar and steering stabilizer and Rubicon Express sway bar disconnects. The rear disconnect has 2 pins so, I assume you pull both and take the link out, however the front has just one pin that is pulled out, what do i do with the link bar? The sales rep said there is usually another spot to store it with the pin?

Can’t help with the storage heard people Tyrap them to a solid spot. You should look into a Metal cloak rear sway bar bracket brace, cheap insurance to prevent to bracket from tearing out……Jack

Thanks for the suggestion, seems like a no-brainer for the cost and headache it will save you.

Please take this with a grain of salt since I have no experience with these, but arnt the fronts installed upside down? If installed the other way you can disconnect the bottom end, swing it up and tie it off to something.

I replied to your other post asking about them, I am 99% sure they are mounted upside down, they should disconnect at the bottom. Some brands come with a mount that you have the option of adding to “connect” to that keeps them out of the way. On my JKU I just used ranger band (thick rubber band) to keep it up out of the way on the swaybar.

Thanks, that was my initial thought, if it were flipped I could easily tie it to the sway bar, just surprised the shop would make that mistake. I believe you and Tim are correct.

Most leave the rear sway bar connected. Usually you get worse performance with the rear disconnected. Too much flopping around with the front also disconnected.

Not many manufacturers even make rear discos, probably for this reason.

Agreeing with Deadpool here.

Your front swaybars look backwards, they should disconnect at the axle mount and then swing up with the swaybar disconnect and pin it down with a thick rubberband. Your rears are right as they're double disconnect, the entire thing comes out.

I think I see why they installed it that way, the passenger side axel connection has brackets on inside and outside, the picture shows the outside bracket tab and its also connected to a bracket from the inside which supports the trackbar and the steering stabilizer, I believe the outside bracket needs to be cut off otherwise there's no way that I can see to remove the sway bar by just removing the pin from the bottom. The driver side just has the outside bracket so no problem there.

They're not connected, just use the same bracket location for mounting. You can remove the swaybar link without touching the trackbar at all.

Right, thats not my concern. If i were to flip it, even if i could get the pin in and out, the bolt would have to come out as well becuase it would hold end link in between both outside and inside brackets. Thats why im thinking cut outside one off and problem solved or go with something like Apex.

You are correct, the outside bracket needs to be cutoff in order to mount them correctly.

Interesting... I don't think I'd cut a bracket off my vehicle for something like Rubicon Express. There's much higher-quality systems out there that don't require you to chop a bracket.

Apexs are definitely a solid choice, or Anti-Rocks.

Interesting, since they don't make disconnects for the rear, and the fronts are installed incorrectly.

That’s why I bought Apex. It wasn’t cheap but the convenience and lack of cutting sold me. No ragrets LOL
Ya, im starting to lean in that direction, the longer stroke option is out of stock with Apex so it may be a while.
