So Quick update I didn't hear from @JeepCares at all last week when they were supposed to call so I messaged them here. They responded last Thursday saying I will be contacted in 2-3 days. Its now Wednesday the Next week and I contacted them again asking what's going on and they responded with the same copy-and-paste message saying 2-3 days lol.

So I spoke to someone once on April 29th when they said they would call my dealer and try to figure out what's going on and would call back in 2 days, and I have not heard anything since.

So that is where things are at right now

Yeah, but that thread was asking for input - I'd never expect "good idea" or "no, can't do that" out of them. It's like a secretary conveying his or her boss's question to staff "what should we do about zyx". The secretary isn't going to respond to what the staff comments are, just convey them upstream.

OTOH, I ran into the exact same total lack of communication from JC when I was dealing with the transmission leak. They promised calls over and over, never came through. I hounded them on two forums and the response was "we got your first message, stop messaging us".
Yet, they never did respond. "a team lead" or whatever "will contact you on Wednesday. You know the rest - Wednesday came and went, crickets.

I pretty much feel the same. Despite the frustrations I have had and some of the major problems others have experienced, the JT and JL (and my TJ and LJ) are the only vehicles that really suit my needs and wants. The day neither of them works out anymore is probably the day I'm too broken to realistically go camping and exploring anyway.

But I do hope that Jeep still continues to fix their issues, rein in on poor dealers, and continue to innovate and stay in the market. The Gladiator really is a fantastic vehicle if you step back and away from the frustrations and compare it to other vehicle options.

I was at a similar point of frustration, not turbo related, but dealer experience along with so many issues with the truck that drove me crazy. They had my truck a total of 7 months in 2 years... Had to take a rental van on a Moab trip, 2 transmission seals, 1 transmission, back glass ((which they busted into my truck leaving glass everywhere and said it was normal.) I pulled up a small shop vac full of glass and was still finding glass a year later), upper oil pan oil leak (very sloppy RTV job), then lower oil pan leak (another very sloppy RTV job). Thankfully I had the Mopar premium care warranty, it covered a rental where the dealer refused, I had total rental car bills of $9k while they had my truck for weeks and months at a time, Mopar premium care reimbursed me for all of it. My issues started at 1700 miles.

That was my 6th Jeep and my last for quite a while. Will likely pickup a JK in 10 years to work on with my son, to teach him and to run the Rubicon.

Lemon'd the JTRD, went through quick and easy. Got this & couldn't be happier. Its a bit bigger, but its an incredible machine. I'm sure it will have its own issues, time will tell.

Oh man, that’s truck porn to these old eyes. I love those Raptors. But jeezus, they’re damn proud of them ($$$). But I’ll prob pull the trigger sometime; I suspect by the end of the year. Love the Gladiator’s styling, but I’m just tired of having such little confidence in this thing and don’t fancy the idea of being in the middle of nowhere and it go into a seemingly myriad of possible failures and leave me stranded. Anyway,, nice ride. From everything I’ve gleaned about it, it’s an extremely capable machine.

Love the Gladiator’s styling, but I’m just tired of having such little confidence in this thing and don’t fancy the idea of being in the middle of nowhere and it go into a seemingly myriad of possible failures and leave me stranded. This is pretty much how I feel at this point. I want to do things but have just lost all confidence. With going to remote location or towing the boat any significant distance.

I feel the same way. I've always wanted a capable midsized truck and Jeep exceeded my expectation in many categories. For one, they offered a diesel platform. GM's Canyon and Colorado were the only other two midsized trucks to offer a diesel. The Gladiator's towing capacity also exceeded my expectation. And lastly, Jeep gave us a rugged and capable truck.

Overall, I have no complaints. It's easy to find flaws or point out shortcomings, but those things don't outweigh the positives. For me, the Gladiator will be something I own 25 years from now.

Thanks, 4k miles in and I absolutely love it. Knock on wood, so far, no issues at all and the initial build quality far surpassed my JT. The only complaint I have is the MPG (I'm getting 15.5 avg on the factory 35's). Otherwise it tows the camper like a dream! Pulls endlessly up hills, its extremely stable and plated more so than anything I've ever driven. Its also the smoothest, quietest ride I've ever experienced, its a far departure from the JT but its also a different tool for a different job.

Like others on this thread I was sick of putting money into something that I did not trust would be reliable long term. Especially when mods were already being mentioned by the dealer and possible warranty issues. If I had to do it again, I'd have swapped even sooner and spent less in upgrades on the JT. The JT was going to be my 10 year truck before I went EV, now it will be the Raptor and I'm so much happier that it is. Its hard not to smile when you drive it, or when you hear the rumbling exhaust from a remote start. You just smile.
