Hi all,
I noticed what appears to be lateral play between the sector shaft and Pitman arm. This seems unlikely, but I am curious what the opinions/experiences you all have. Some details that may or may not be relevant:
Thanks!
I noticed what appears to be lateral play between the sector shaft and Pitman arm. This seems unlikely, but I am curious what the opinions/experiences you all have. Some details that may or may not be relevant:
- The Pitman arm nut has been torqued to 184ft-lbs with red loctite
- Synergy sector shaft brace was just installed
- I am trying to track down a clunk/pop that comes from reversing/steering tightly. Need to check body mount bolts next.
- The dealership replaced the aluminum steering box for the stainless steel version earlier last year. I am not sure if they replaced the Pitman arm, but the nut did not have 184ft-lbs of torque (maybe 30ft-lbs) when I went to remove it for the sector shaft brace.
Thanks!
