@Bobatwar I just dropped a 700lb Scout Tuktut into my bed and the rear AEV HC springs only sagged 3/4". I still have 2in of rake. These springs are legit!

I even had my 220lb friend sit on the edge of the tailgate (weight way past the rear axle) and he only dropped it another 1/4".

Just trying to clarify… are you saying you only have the AEV HC springs in the back in this picture or that the rear only sagged 3/4”. Thanks.

I have front and rear AEV HC springs and the rear only sagged 3/4" when I dropped the camper in the bed

Thanks for that. I've been checking out your journey from Clayton to Synergy and now to AEV springs. I have the RSI cap with a 100ish lb wedge RTT. Full load out I'm getting close to 500 lbs, but most of the time it's just about 200 with the RSI cap. I'm concerned the AEV HC springs would be too much for everyday driving. I have the Mopar 2" lift now and like the ride, just looking for a bit more lift.

Why did you decide to move from the Synergy springs to the AEV. I looked through several threads and saw the Clayton vs Synergy, but didn't come across a Synergy vs AEV comparison.

You might consider the AEV SD coils first, then moving to the HD's. Last time I checked the SD coils were only available with their full kit, and the HD's are the only ones you can order standalone.

I was going to recommend this exact thing. The SC coils might be the perfect solution. The HC coils are stiff without a load but not harsh. Overkill though.

The Synergy's are fantastic and with the 3/4" spacer they kept me level with a very full load. Honestly though, I knew the AEV HC springs were better suited to the task of carrying the Scout without the 3/4" Daystar spacers. I wanted a known spring that could effortlessly handle the weight. Otherwise with your constant load of the RSI, I'd still recommend the Synergy springs without spacers. Only if you start tipping the 700lb+ load in the rear would I add the spacers.

Yeah, will likely tryout the Synergy’s. Having to buy the full kit for the AEV SC springs would be hard to justify at this point in the build. Appreciate all the feedback.

Do you happen to have any pictures with the Synergy springs on the truck?

All of the pics of my truck in the spring comparison threads that have the AluCab Contour Canopy and RTT are with Synergy springs + 3/4" spacers in rear. This pic below still has the full cupboard/fridge/water tank/etc in the bed. So I think ~650lb.

The pic below is the only one I have unloaded with Synergy springs + 3/4" spacers in rear. Unloaded, Synergy incorporates a 1.5" rake. The pic is a little funky though with the angle and aspect ratio.

Here's one without the RTT and awning so it's roughly another 225lb lighter, again with + 3/4" spacers in rear

AEV will sell the standard coils over the phone if you call them.

I just put AEV heavy coils on and they aren't bad at all for daily driving. I would rather have them and not need them than the opposite personally. Lift height got zapped as soon as I installed a winch and bed rack with the standard springs, and that is without any gear. Heavy coils are only slightly stiffer when daily driving but I will be glad to have them when loaded with gear. The rake is a little goofy looking when unloaded though. 2" front to rear exactly, small price to pay for reassuring handling when loaded.

Honestly, I would try to shed some weight first. I even have an Alu-Cab camper setup and don't weigh 7k even with the diesel.

The AEV system with the heavy capacity springs. So around a 2.5 - 3" lift overall. Handles the weight perfectly. Also added a Hellwig rear anti-sway bar.

Thanks for the info. I am running a Clayton 3.5" lift on my JTRD with Fox Performance Elite 2.5s.

Even with the added weight of a metal front bumper, winch (synthetic), Rockhard Rock sliders, AluCab Canopy, Dual battery set up with ARB elements fridge that lives in the jeep full time + weight of tools and etc. I could never get the front end to feel good on the jeep. The springs are just too harsh and the shocks are not tuned for that rate.

I am looking to switch out the front springs with somethings else. I will monition that I occasionally slap on my James Baroud RTT on the canopy or tow my Mission Overland Camper.

Hang some tractor weights from the front bumper or just get load levels and it will put weight back on the front end and cause them to flex more . Also switch to steel cable 80 ft of synthetic weighs 5Ibs. 80 ft of Steel cable weighs 21 pounds go from a stubby to a full width steel and add some 6" lights ( no additional weight but would help when that front end is pointing toward the sky.
