Final update:
I got paid: $51,848.69 (Not including the $2000 deductible, most likely I can get 2000 back in the future because it's not my fault at all.)
Glad it was settled.

I’d imagine it still kind of blows. Putting myself in similar shoes, know my JT itself was around that much. I wouldn’t be able to replace my diesel as it is no longer an option. Beyond that, I have probably another $12-$15k in mods and it’s nearly paid off at this point.

Has the shopping started yet?

Yes Jeep around me has 15% off MSRP discount for 24 models again so I might just get another 24 JTR. Or other options, I hate to say that but I was thinking of getting something like Chevy ZR2. IDK... Since I just moved to Cali... I need that top off...

For 2024 models?
I've yet to see 15% off MSRP on a 2024 model, only 2023 models.

Must be a typo otherwise people are going to want to know where you shop.

It's true 2024. Well... It's 13.9% off MSRP... 15% off for Wranglers...
Who is doing 13.9% off MSRP on 2024 models?
That knocks 10 grand off the MSRP of a 2024 Mojave X

You’d have to finance through them but @12psi does 8% below invoice on in stock and sold orders… should be about 15%. Sounds like you need a Mojave X.

OK, it's like I've seen - some individual dealers are giving discounts on the internet. Whether or not they "stick" once you get in the door is another thing, but it's totally a dealership thing.
Some are, some are not.
one I looked at was deeply discounted, I pointed it out to my local dealer and he said "no longer available" and sure enough, it was off that site for 2 days, then back on again. I've seen that with two of them now - not sure what's up but one day they are there, then gone, then on that dealer's web site again.
So if you can get that dealer to stick with that price - go for it.
it's not an FCA thing.

I've found two issues with the online discounts -
You have to finance through them
and
they won't give @#$ for a trade.

i did some math and my local dealer, if they do the 1% below invoice affiliate discount, and the trade number they were talking, it came out about even with the discount dealers that won't give much for a trade.
There's always something, some catch.

The financing thing isn't always bad - if they can match my own CU's rates, and I could pay it off early (some have fine print, some don't) so the financing isn't always a negative if the rates are the same as what I can otherwise get. Let them have some profit there.

Yeah, since you can't buy Overland any more, the only way to get our options are now Mojave X. Jeep has left no real choice.
But then if I take the MSRP of my Overland in 2022 and add all of the things Mojave has, it would add up to more than the MSRP of a Mojave X - just a hard pill to swallow all at once.
(and I still can't muscle the equipment changes getting mine back to stock so I can't trade for a while due to physical limitations. Can't even lift a 50 pound bag of bird food yet.

Unless something has really changed, the Rubicon should still be at 7,000 pounds towing - that's with automatic transmission.
The lower number - 4,500 - was for manual.
Maybe someone with the actual 2024 owners manual can confirm.
