For serious, the cost differential between my 22’ JTR and the 70k is enough for the accessory list minus the no value added cosmetic frills. For $70K. It should come with all the options as standard.
Well, they’re not bankrupt … when the jeep wave crashes, they’ll put their brains together to provide what the public wants … I think just last year, that wave might have begun crashing. They still don't get it.
Ram Heavy Duty still uses the 6.4L Hemi in the 2500/3500, otherwise, the Hemi has been discontinued.Every other vehicle in FCAs portfolio (aside from rebadged fiats) comes with a hemi or a big hemi, or a big hemi with a blower …
True … replace what I said with the word “did” … I’m shocked a Wrangler (or gladiator I guess), got a diesel before a hemi. A 5.7 would be a perfect choice.Ram Heavy Duty still uses the 6.4L Hemi in the 2500/3500, otherwise, the Hemi has been discontinued.
I'll be honest, I would not have bought a new 2023 Gladiator if it didn't have the diesel. whatever, bring on the batteries.
Logic would lean towards yes, imagine a single engine platform, 4 cylinder turbo to replace the pentastar, turbo 6 to replace hemi and HO Turbo 6 to replace 392. I’d imagine the 6.4 sticking around as a heavy duty option. I can’t imaging a commercial gas truck with a 3.0 turbo. HOWEVER, if they make a turbo 6 reliably operate where a 6.4 sat in a commercial setting, I’d be impressed, but I doubt it.I'll be honest, I would not have bought a new 2023 Gladiator if it didn't have the diesel. I'm not sure why the Wrangler and/or Gladiator wasn't offered with a Hemi. It seems like Jeep missed an opportunity. Do we know for sure if the Wrangler/Gladiator will get the Hurricane?
I am so glad I only paid $45k for my Rubicon.LOL which is fine if you paid $45,000 new for your rubicon not $70,000!
Umm, I don't know man, lots of subjective opinion there. "Supposed to tow trailers" is a huge stretch. I have a 3500 Ram dually with a Cummins diesel as my tow vehicle. And my V6 Pentastar has PLENTY of grunt for my tastes. The thing scoots along just fine. With the 8 speed tranny, it's always in the right gear and I have never thought "I need more power."Let's see a Hemi 392 Gladiator. I'm not sure why there is a 392 Wrangler but not a Gladiator. The 3.6 Penstar is grossly underpowered for a pickup, that will be lifted and is supposed to tow trailers.
My old v8 Tundra could tow a Space Shuttle. Love my Gladiator, but that little gas engine and my big tires add up to 35 mph climbing hills with my tractor in tow. More power please.Umm, I don't know man, lots of subjective opinion there. "Supposed to tow trailers" is a huge stretch. I have a 3500 Ram dually with a Cummins diesel as my tow vehicle. Did I mention I'm at nearly 6,500 feet? For a naturally aspirated engine, it's doing just fine. I easily crest the 7,200 ft pass with light throttle at 65 mph. Instead of power wars, I'm interested in fuel mileage wars.
