How well does the adhesive stand up to heated mirrors?

That's about the only complaint I've had on any of these add-on mirrors, heated mirror causing the adhesive to fail.

No issue!

We use a very high-end acrylic from 3M that is designed to function blow zero to well over 200 degrees F. The important part is that they are installed on a well prepped surface in warmer temps or heated up during install in cooler temps. (Our install instructions cover all of this).

The first car I created custom blind spot mirrors for was a 2016 BMW. I later passed it on to a relative who just sold it last year. That first prototype pair was still very firmly attached over 6 years later.

They bought one of those car wash subscriptions and tortured it often too! 😱 😂

I bought these on Amazon back in June 2023. They've never fallen off, still on, still stable. I have heated mirrors and these add ons don't seem to be affected by that. I have had 4 different brands, this is the only good one so far.

Has anyone mounted these mirrors in the upper corner instead of the lower corner? Wondering if it would make a difference as their ad shows it mounted in either position.

Thanks!

Received and installed.

I’ll reserve my opinion for their view angle for a future post after I have some miles on them.

Fit…not the custom fit I was expecting. Not sure if my factory’21 JTRD is different, but the outside edges don’t exactly follow the cut of the glass.

lining up the outside edge to the corner left both bottom edges angled up toward the door.

@Dougstdig Those are actually the wrong mirrors on the wrong sides, which is why they are not aligning as we show.

Each package directs you in multiple places to see our full website, instructions, and it is highly recommended to do so before installing.

The back of each mirror has a number 1 and number 2 in the middle, and each side is marked A,B,C,D

When aligned per these instructions, you will get a proper contour top or bottom

we do have the die-cut 3M adhesive pieces available on our website , should you wish to reinstall per the online instructions.

For all others installing, please make sure to see those full online instructions and test fit prior to adhering to avoid improper alignment or installation.

These are designed to fit on the top or bottom of the mirrors, so the proper spotter mirror going on the correct side is important to get the fit as designed and intended.

As seen in this post, if mirror 1 is used where mirror 2 should go, the angle is close, but not quite correct.

Please always feel free to reach out to our team if you have any questions about the product or installation.

I actually thought so also and swapped them during the test fit while looking at the online instructions. They were worse the other way.

It will be fishing line to what I anticipate to be excellent pond skippers.

@Dougstdig There are 2 ways they will kind of fit, 1 way they will definitely not fit, and 1 way they will properly fit.

You could still miss-align with the correct mirror on the correct side, but rotated the wrong way, there are four sides.

When installed per the instructions, they will 100% properly align.

@Dougstdig ,

We wanted to show you a quick example here:
Jeep Gladiator Custom Blind Spot Mirrors For Gladiator Towing Untitled

Despite looking similar, the mirrors are rather different angles when the sides are swapped. The total length, width, angles and geometry differ greatly.

For the lower mount, from our online instructions:

Jeep Gladiator Custom Blind Spot Mirrors For Gladiator Towing Jeep Instructions

As you can see, the Gladiator mirrors are not actually perfect squares. On the driver side, you would want mirror 2, On the outside side A and the bottom B.

Based on your picture, you have mirror 1, Side B out and A down. This is a very different shape from your gladiator mirror.

Conversely, for a top mount, you would want the following from our website instructions:
Jeep Gladiator Custom Blind Spot Mirrors For Gladiator Towing Upper instructions

If you reach out to our team with your screen name, we will ship you free of charge a new double set of adhesive as a one-time courtesy.

We'd rather spend the profit and then some from your sale and have you get it right, vs drive around with improperly installed custom fit mirrors.

Ordered a pair on Amazon last night.

They'll go nicely with the mirror extensions I use, which work great by the way...bought the ones on Amazon for the JK and the Thorne Engineering adaptors. They fit snug and don't vibrate at all.
