To be fair (TO BE FAAAAAAIR) if Jeep offered a factory topper that followed the factory lines and could support a RTT... they wouldn't be able to keep them in stock. Adding that onto the vehicle financing would be a no-brainer.
yes this is exactly what I've been asking for, a Gladiator canopy made by the same folks who do the hard top.

massive props to OP for making it happen in real life

Just curious. How much did you have to add to the length of the top? From the pics it looks like you trimmed it back at the top and fabricated the sides but I’m not entirely sure.

I had to run into work today, so I decided to jump up on the roof and take a picture from above.

Great work bro. I really appreciate the info . About to make a 5500 mile trip with a bunch of gear and debating rolling some steel tubing to create a support like roll cage for the bed and then putting a top like this to keep all my gear covered.

Skills! Nice work
JeepDaddyJT,
You have definitely earned the award for best Gladiator Cap of the Year!
So much hard work. Resourceful and a healthy dose of knowing and honoring the proper lines of a jeep.
Job Well Done brotha.
It might be time to talk to Dave over at AEV and see if he's got a slot for ya on the Skunkwerks team.

Dude, this is amazing. ABsolutely love it. Gotta ask about your tail lights as well. They look like Combat offroad but there's no side marker lights. Are they combat lights?

Wow, very clever! I see you had to make a whole new latching system to pull off the swingout. As all have said, we bend the knee. I'm especially taken with little "easter eggs," or details, that masters include in their work, which often go unnoticed - nice trick with the window hinges. You have a tailgate that would never betray itself as anything but. What advantage does that give you over the 17" or so of extra bed length? If you are just showing off, please continue.

Btw, the embossed ridges of the original Unlimited top could not be a better match to the Gladiator hardtop. That's a great photo you took from the rooftop. You are giving the big production guys a run for their money, something to think about, and a spanking.
