Discount Tire is a bad influence. I bought more tires.

So as some of you know. I have some Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs 37x12.5r17s. A fantastic tire and it fits the truck quite well paired with stock Sport wheels painted white. However my Mojave stock wheels kinda sat with the OE Wildpeaks and I told my self I'd daily em. But they just look to small, and its a lot of work to swap those suckers out and look a lot less cool. So I bought some 315/70r17s to scratch that itch! because I have no self control. but at 200 flat a tire and only 55lbs a corner, the gains are to good to pass up. I do have a large trip coming up that will require me to tow my 5000lb camper 1200 round miles with a lot of beach driving. 37s were gonna make that miserable as I have not regeared. I did the math and I was gonna barely make the beach island cross section of the trip with a spare 20gal of fuel in the bed! Anyway just thought I'd share. Pics Friday.

Sounds like goodyear territory m/t's. @PuddleJumper let me know how they work out for you towing. They felt a bit squirrelly when towing my camper with my brother in laws gladiator. (3500lbs loaded).

The goodyear territory tires have a load rating of 2500lbs while the OE tires are over 3k lbs. I suspect this was the reason they felt so soft.

I like em soft. I do have airbags and my camper is dual axle with a WDH hitch. I imagine it'll be alright.

edit: for my Camper towing I'd need 1750lbs of load rating per corner. 2500 is enough. 3000 is safer. anything higher is overkill. My Mickeys are 3500 plus a corner. Far more weight than my truck is rated to handle.

It wasn't bad per se, just softer than what I was used to with my 3000lb+ Nittos.

Oh no worries I tracked what you were putting down. I'll keep ya posted if I have the same experience
