My "Current MPG" disappeared a while a go and hasn't come back either. I don't know if anybody outside of the software suppliers know why because none of us has come up with a solid explanation.
Just don't know.

Did you try pressing the left or right arrows? There are two MPG pages and mine occasionally switches to the other.
This is a very different issue. They don't "switch" by themselves unless you have unknowingly hit the button.

My 2020 never had the issue, my 2022 has lost that display 3 times. Each time it came back, but each time it seems to have come back while I was on a different screen.
And each time - it was gone for different lengths of time. Sometimes days, sometimes over a week.

I've posted pics - it's not just that it "disappears" - it literally changes and the text shifts around as if there's a 3rd screen it has switched to.
I'd bet my pics of that switch are here in this thread.

My instant mpg took a long walk off a short pier. I even have pictures of it on milk cartons. It's been gone that long.

For my issue definitely not an accidently button press. Just happens out of the blue every couple months. I chalk it up to a software update or something. Definitely caught me off guard the first time.

Mine left twice, once a few months ago and again recently. Bath times it came back after a few days with no rhyme or reason why. Nothing else changed!

MPG is not something I'm concerned with, driving a aerodynamic brick and all. I do check it when I fill up the tank, just to see what it is. I'll occasionally scroll through all the menu screens just to pass the time when traveling. The current MPG has always been there whenever I scrolled by, on both the '20 Overland and the '23 High Altitude.

Don’t worry, it’ll come back in 13 years with a carton of cigarettes 😊

Yes…I’m fully aware of the up/down buttons and the left/right buttons to navigate thru everything. There’s actually more than 2 pages of MPG info…. At least, there were before my Instant disappeared.

Makes me wonder…. Has anyone actually asked the dealership about it? I won’t hold my breathe that they’d know anything about it, or have a clue to fix it…. It could be entertaining to hear their response.

Does Jeep do ‘over the air updates’ thru Uconnect (private cell signals to vehicles)?

My husband’s BMW does it……. I’m sure Onstar (GM) has that ability.

Wondering if there’s some sort of updating, interference, or some other Techy thing that’s way over my head …going on?

If I had time i life, I’d call the dealer for shits & giggles.

if you go into the tazer menu, There is a reboot/reset function. Hit it and your stuff should come back

They definitely do. If you watch the bottom left of your headunit. occasionally you'll see script run with bit rates and download speeds and file names being installed.

Nope…. doesn’t work. I did an update on my tazer yesterday… although, it was the same version, I ran it anyway. I updated settings, did a complete reboot, performed sleep cycles…. The Instant MPG is still missing.

After doing non-live setting changes (engine off), Are you performing a reboot and those SLEEP cycles?

If you don’t perform a reboot & sleep cycles, the Tazer can do some strange stuff and/or the settings you changed won’t stay ….
