The attached picture is of my old bumper from the JK, total cost for just the bumper was less than $150. It went the full width, allowed for factory fogs, had recovery points that tied straight into the frame, had a recessed winch plate separate from the bumper (forget what plate I used was but it was sturdy), weighed less than 100 lbs and incorporated a stinger that stuck out less than 4 inches compared to the factory bumper. Now, I would do that bumper again if I could but can't find anything like it. There are some good recommendations so far to look into and thanks for that! That said, there are some snide remarks that I could have done without... hopefully the pic post and shows what I mean.

Probably could've started with that so people know where you are coming from. Are you looking to push over trees?

I do a lot of road trips... Bison, deer, moose etc.. That and an offset collision does worry me as I have seen my fair share of them. There is no perfect bumper, just not finding what I like so far. Guess that was a tree bumper, as you put it :)

Is it just me or are they just making ugly bumpers anymore? I look and I look and they all look like they should be on an alien vehicle or the moon lander and they skip the purpose of a bumper by not being up to snuff for safety! Must just be me?
I am very happy with my Rockhard 4x4 bumpers. I run their aluminum ones on my Mojave and steel on my Wrangler.

I installed this stubby from Rugged Ridge on my JTR. It houses the Warn Evo 10S perfectly. The tow/D Ring hooks are quite aggressive and not everyone’s cup of tea, so I will be doing some extended D Ring tabs in place of them at some point. My Rubicon front skid has flawless fitment with it, resting just below the edge of the bumper on the backside. The bumper retains use of OEM fogs, as well as lighting options from Diode Dynamics and others that use factory style fog light mounts. I don’t recall the model name of the bumper, but I purchased it from Summit Racing. Very straightforward installation and quality fit. I have seen some complaints of premature rust, but this is a North Texas Jeep. After several rain storms and car wash runs, I have seen no issues yet. (No salted roads for extended periods here) If you live in an area prone to vehicle rust, I would suggest getting a high quality powder coating (even having redone) no matter what brand (outside of Mopar or AEV.) Regardless, it is a fantastic option at its price point. The bumpers from Evo look great as well.

My next bumper will either be Mopar or Evo depending on how far I go with this Jeep.

Thanks for everyone's input, I ended up going with the aluminum Rockhard 4x4 full width with the lowered winch plate, RHR90245. Hand is full of stitches so it's not on the Gladiator yet (65 Mustang decided to get me) or I would post a picture. Just a heads up, they do have a veterans discount and delivery as well as packaging was top notch. It is also very light weight which to me is a plus and I'm happy with the purchase.

This did it for me......the winch spoiled it weight wise. But as far as looks......can't be beat
